I'm really not sure what I should do...
I received the shipping notification and the message about being hacked... I wonder If I will receive them if I don't contact the seller...
Has anyone else gotten a refund?

How many did you buy RA? You haven't been refunded right?
please contact motel268 for full refund and cancel the order
Well I'm not about to help them cancel it. If they said they made a mistake I would accept a refund but don't pull some hacked BS.
"free shipping is unauthorized by motel268" "This order is invalid consequently"
I just find the tone irritating.
I plan on just waiting to see if they come.

Well I'm not about to cancel it on my end. If they said they made a mistake I would accept a refund but don't pull some hacked BS.

I ordered ten. The order was placed, payment sent, I received shipping confirmation. No problems. Then a few hours later I get the "Hacked" message.

I wanted to modify them to output 5mW and give them away as gifts, so hopefully they come.

No, I have not been refunded.

I agree that the "hack" message sounds/looks like BS.
I paid for an item as advertised and I expect to receive it. If the seller made an error, that is their issue to resolve.
No take-backs!

Its clear that they don't really want to fulfill their orders, in the end they will do what they will.

Here is my working response, if I were inclined to respond that is. :san:

Sorry to hear that you made a mistake in your listing.
If your account was actually hacked you will have to address that issue with ebay.
Until then you are obligated to fulfill your transactions.
Be aware that a few others are waiting to see if you fulfill your obligations as well.

Give me a break.....

I can't see ANY Chinese seller selling a Blu-Ray laser (even a
5mW) in a Case...with a Driver and Push Button and delivery
for $2.95 USD... and pay the assembly of the laser... the listing
fees and the Final Value fees and the PayPal fees and STILL
make a profit...

It just can't be done.....

In general the Chinese are not that stupid.

It is obvious that he made a mistake with his listing..
If a Hacker got into his account he would have created
much more havoc... IMO

The seller is trying to weasel his way out of honoring
his Auction by blaming it on a fictitious "hacker"...

I still haven't gotten the "hacked" e-mail or a refund, maybe mine is actually on the way :crosses fingers:

All of you getting refunded, I would leave negative feedback like crazy. Let him take 100+ negatives. E-bay asks you to check the listing in the last step and it also mentions something about being legally bound, but apparently that doesn't apply to the Chinese.

I agree that you should neg rep him. However, I don't know what good it will do.
Here's his rep report

He's gotten 82 negative and 99 neutral in the past month alone. I don't think that our negative will phase him. You should should still do it, but don't expect much

Peace,

I would post random things like...
"laser quit working after 5 minutes"
and
"this laser is not 5mW, its not even 1mW. I have a power meter!!"

That way even if it doesn't nudge the numbers, it will hopefully discourage a couple of buyers.

Oh wait, is that dishonest? Obviously he doesn't care about playing unfair so I say full steam ahead!!!
