Just finished up my "light saber". 3.6 watt 9mm 445. How does it look?

Thanks for looking!

Is that a combination of several hosts ? The laser works and that is the important fact. :)
How do you know that is 3.6Watt ?

Yes that looks like it's made from different hosts, very ingenuous, may I ask why there is electrical tape on the outside

the tape will hold in heat and prevent conductance of heat from the laser to you hand which helps cool the laser, remember it's 3.6W

And I also would like to know how you know it's 3.6W out

You put it together but I don't see and assembly pictures did you forget to take some, I do that and then kick myself later.

I suspect it is running on 18650 cells, how about a little info on your laser

Yes 2 different cree hosts and some black electrical tape, haha. Read 3.6 on LPM. That is with a g1 installed.

Basically, I came up with this because I had extra parts laying around. I am very impatient and could not wait until I found a host online that seemed appealing. Anyone have any good hosts that hold 2 18650 that aren't gigantic in diameter?

What LPM did you use (pretty much need an ophir to measure anything over 3.2W)......didnt happen to be a LB did you????

EDIT: there are PLENTY of hosts out there for 2x 18650.......trustfire TR-T1 is just one example

Check with Mrcrouse. He has plenty of great host of all shapes and sizes. That's a monster you got there. What current is the driver set to run .

Eh, not impossible to get 3.6W. Got to remember that most LPM readings are within 5% therefore the actual value of this laser is (3600 (+/-) 200)mW

Umm, what current was that run at? I want 3.5W+ :eg: Nice build, maybe find an alternative to the tape? Otherwise it looks good and seems to work GREAT! :gj:
