2W 445 DTR Frankenstein Ultrafire RL-2088 Handheld Host

Re: 1.8W 445 DTR Frankenstein Ultrafire RL-2088 Handheld Host

Yes .. I know about that chart .. except it's not sorted by the power, and there is no official title associated with it. Holder could use the title in signature, and there could be official badge with it (ie picture) .. or something.

Lets not be too anal, LMAO. A badge? LOL

Hey, all the power to you. You have the info, and the ideas, go for it.

Very impressive, DTR!! I was suprised to hear that there's a portable host that can accommodate a FlexMod P3 and 3 18650s. That thing is massive. One hint.. you don't need to regulate the 5V input on the driver, it is self limiting. You can just connect a 10k resistor from V+ to Mod+ to keep it on.

That will sure make it easier. Thanks for the input.
:thanks:

omg TJ i just realized you joined LPF after me. I thought you were here way before me. can't believe it's been 2 years since i joined here....

Its crazy. I cant believe I have almost 7K posts. 6700+ posts of bad jokes, ball busting, dirty stories, pissing matches, trolling, and pissing off more people than a Nazi at a Bar Mitzvah. :eg:

Oh, you young whipper snappers!! I am almost as old as Old Dave (daguin) here, he beats me just under a month... but many, many months is real age (notice I did not say years) :D

Re: 1.8W 445 DTR Frankenstein Ultrafire RL-2088 Handheld Host

HA, I feel 60, so maybe we are not to far off. :undecided:

No words, only WOW!

From Young Frankenstein (1974)

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Damn your eyes.
Igor: [to camera] Too late.

Re: 1.8W 445 DTR Frankenstein Ultrafire RL-2088 Handheld Host

It's all grandpas here lol .. I would expect more teenagers here, especially after the Arctic mania ! I'm 35 btw.

Very cool build...congratulations!

I got a bug to mess with my Frankenstein today. And as you all know I am never satisfied. And probably will not be till I actually kill a 445 diode. Which with all my high powered units none have died or shown any degradation yet. This diode has run for almost 4 hours now @1.6A but I have decided to turn it up a bit. It is now set to 1750mA.:eg:

This video is still processing but should be done soon. I am heading out to dinner and wanted to get this posted before I left. So if it does not play check back in a few minutes.;)

Here is a picture that was taken at about 3 minutes into the test. If the video is not done processing when you read this at least you can get an idea from the picture.:o

The line starts here for 2W handheld 445's.:p
