The 260W one is not ready yet. I'm waiting for a few more small parts for it. When it's ready, I'll let you know how it handles the cooling. The 120W one heats up fast and the temperature drops very slowly because the fan is weak. I can put a powerful one, but it will have to stick out because the space is small. If I put the ones I have on the Delta at 1.6A, the cooling will be much better. If you're looking for durability, you'll need a large radiator with a powerful fan or water cooling.I followed your entire build of this 260W IR laser, I don't understand anything about how you made it, but the final result is fantastic, can you also point and hold the laser beam fixed in one spot for 3 minutes straight? or can it get damaged? mine is a layman's question
Can you take pictures of the damage and your project in general? In general, it is good to have information about these infrared lasers, how and what is done. I received all the parts for my 260W. It will be ready soon. After it, I will start assembling the 500W. However, I will do it in a larger box in order to be able to cool well and have a sufficiently powerful batteryi just bought one of those high rpm blower fans and made a molicel powered high poewr fan, i finishde my 380w handheld laser too as i broke my 280w pump source. @Borislav@87 i driled too deep and knocked a lens
Excuse me, but am I wrong or is the lens in these two photos longer than the one in the last two videos just published? Anyway, this IR laser is a beautiful beast, as a layman I tell you, great job, my complimentsThis is what the laser with the lens looks like finished. I'm currently loading it and will record videos soon
Yes, this lens is different. With it I get the closest focus for burning. Accordingly, its power is the greatest, because the focal length is small. With the other one I get focus after 2 meters, while with this one I have focus at about 30 centimetersExcuse me, but am I wrong or is the lens in these two photos longer than the one in the last two videos just published? I'm sure that even at 3 meters with the long lens you can cleanly pierce that block of wood and the dull red tile,Yes, this lens is different. With it I get the closest focus for burning. If you're asking if I can adjust the focus. Yes, I can with both lenses. With the larger one, I can get focus from 2 to 15 meters by rotating the front part.I'm sure that even at 3 meters with the long lens you can cleanly pierce that block of wood and the dull red tile,
At the maximum power of the IR laser. The exit hole of the beam, in this case of the flame is quite small, can you play with the collimation to focus as if it were a blue laser? I don't know if I made myself clear
I wonder if using the large lens, you can pierce the block of wood from one side to the other at a distance of 15 metersIf you're asking if I can adjust the focus. Yes, I can with both lenses. With the larger one, I can get focus from 2 to 15 meters by rotating the front part.
At 15 meters it won't pierce this tree. From what I've seen, maybe up to 3 meters I can get a good focus for piercing. After that, the beam expands and can't pierce, but it can easily set things on fire. I'll see how the other 500W one is when it arrives. They say that if a fiber is used as a light source, the longest burning range will be achieved. In my case, there is no fiber and the light comes directly from the lenses. With fiber, however, things will be much more difficult to fix a lens in the center of the fiber. I ordered powerful red and green lasers, because the one I have installed is very difficult to see during the day. I will install a more powerful one, at least 50mw red. The one currently has 5mw and doesn't do a good jobI wonder if using the large lens, you can pierce the block of wood from one side to the other at a distance of 15 meters
At the maximum power of the 260W IR laser.
It would be nice to see
Cool .. at 3 meters it sets fire .. but to have maximum power you need the optical fiber that emits red light? At 15 meters it won't pierce this tree.
