260W IR Laser pump handheld?

My 500W raycus laser came, I’m also getting in contact with alibaba spokepeople to build a NV camera so I can project the 976nm and actually see it.

Hello Borislav. Thank you for the very well documented post. Excellent work.

1. Allow me to ask you, could you measure with a good degree of precision the dimention of the bundle of beams close to the laser (let say at 50cm from the module) and after that at 10 meters? This way we can extrapolate the divergence of the module without any collimation.
For example 4mm x 6mm at 50cm and 10mm x 15mm at 10 meters. Thank you very much in advance!

2. For maxing out the 500w module, you could buy a 1800w DC DC boost device. They go for about 15 USD in Aliexpress. Seem to be very stable at a maximum of 80mV ripple and 94-96% efficiency trough almost all the range (drops to 80% only when input voltage is as low as 12V...not your case)

Pozdravi :)

You will have to open the lid and drill a hole in the front. If I remove bolts, the lid opens like a can. Here are pictures of 120W pumps on which a red laser is mounted, which passes through all the mirrors

I have had the top off and yes, it's full of mirrors but no targeting laser.
I need to know how big a hole has to be drilled into the housing where
the fiber exited. How large is the first lens you used to grab that expanding beam?
Were you able to focus it?
The two lenses between the lasers and the fiber look like yours. Did you try moving one to get
a nice sized beam at the output? I am running mine at threshold for safety.
Thanks
Mike

I haven't been busy for a long time because I have a lot of work to do. There are ready-made lenses on this site at a very good price. I ordered this 50X, which is $149. It is best to buy a ready-made lens.

ПI also ordered this small lens. It works without problems at 260W of power. In the videos, he lights things up from 15 meters, saying that up to 8-10 meters the focus is very good. I got this 50X for my 500W laser. It has not yet been assembled because there is no time at the moment. I see that these lasers have become very popular for sale. It seems that it is best for a person to buy a ready-made one, because they are made much better

I also share photos to see how a red laser for guidance is installed on the 120W pump
