20 mW Rigel now available AND on sale!

I will be testing the 20mW Rigel in a bit over a week, as well as the 589nm 20mW and a 80 mW coming about as soon, so it will be a bit less guessing before long. Also, Yobresal is using a PGL 589 rated 80 mW I'll take another look at his posts now. These higher output yellow lasers really get my interest! -Glenn

Welcome to the forums~ Just me being a Doofus (like I am) wouldn't blue + yellow = Green?

There's a 7 color DIY white laser project you should look for. search the forums~

White in an LED is made by using a blue LED to excite a yellow or an orange phosphor, so in theory, mixing a yellow and a blue laser should make a white-ish colored dot, I imagine if you got the mix right you could get pretty close to white.

Oh, and blue+yellow=green is for the subtractive color wheel, light uses the additive color wheel; they use different "color equations".

We still have to test the 589 nm lasers to make sure that they are reliable enough to sell as Laserglow merchandise. Hopefully we will be able to market these soon, if they hold up under testing. The ones that we are shipping now are 593.5 nm, as with previous Rigels.

Justin, why-oh-why are the Vegas not getting this increase! I like my Vega that does 10-15mW, but i'm wondering if I had waited a bit longer, heh... if it could have done a lot more.

About 6 weeks ago. It really does average 10-15mW, which still isn't horrible, but 20-30 would have been nicer :) I just really like the build quality of those style hosts vs the pens... by far.
