Hi all,

I had a very special day today, and wanted to share some with you all.

First thing, is that my sister gave birth today and now has a son :)

Second is that i recieved a package today from Forum member Lazeerer :)

This is a build he made for me that started a while back ago, we both had some trouble finding this host and ended up with 3 of them :D
We got excited when the host arrived and Lazeerer did his magic on it.

It's using the following spec...
I hope lazeerer can fill in the blanks later on.

Host: Surefire l6 porcupine. (clone)
Weight: 505g {0.505 kilograms}
Diode: 405nm 3.8mm single mode.
Output: 980mW.
Lens: 445nm 9mm lens.
Current: .....
Driver: X-drive.
Power: 2×18650.
Custom: Focus adapter, Heatsink, tailcapswitch, etc..

Now we both chose not to hit excact 1W aldo it's very doable with this diode.
To keep it save, and more testing be done on it ''Lazeerer'' chose a save current with a output of 980mW of singlemode violet photons shooting out of it.
Now let me tell you this laser is rock solid in it's output :D
When more testing is done, we can up it more.

According to Lazeerer he saw it Peak as High as 983mW and low 955mW.
With the right conditions (cold, hot), i'm sure it will hit 1W.

The laser came well packaged, (shipped with EMS) and had some goodies aswell inside it.
''There's also a second package comming my way, with more goodies :D -to be continued-

-A pair of gloves :D (to keep fingerprints off it)
-two clothes to polish
-A free laser ? ( what¿ :D ) (Love to know the specs of it, inside. looks good!)

I'm so in love with this build, and i can't thank Lazeerer enuff

I'll let the picture's do the talking... (no beamshots yet, it's not dark outside but i was too excited to share this ^^)

That is a hell of a shiny laser. Great job on polishing. The gloves are a necessity to handle this laser. :)

That is an incredible laser, to say the least lazeerer did an amazing job! I never thought 1W could be achieved from the 405nm diodes :p

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! (Both the laser, and your nephew) :D

Congratulations! And where did u get a 1W single mode 405 diode???

Hmmm, i was trying to take a beamshot just a few min ago..

Setup the camera on one side of the garden, and the laser on the other side of it.

I took the shot and turned the laser down wich was aimed at a wooden door.
It burned a black dot on it from across the garden :D were the laser was focused to infinity :D
Sure impressed me ^^

A Beamshot ... WHAT DO YOU WAIT FOR?! POST IT! :D ( and the spot on your door ;) )

I don't think it's a bdr-206 diode guys. I think it's the new 3.8mm out of the lg "14x"
:shhh:
