I got my laser yesterday. What a disappointment. The glasses were broken and the laser wouldn't turn on. Aparently these is a major connection issue with the tailcap/clicky mechanism. Instead of fixing this problem they just mailed out an extra clicky (does no good to replace it as the clicky is functional but the design is not) I have found that if you use a neodymium battery spacer or two you can complete the connection to the clicky and the laser will function somewhat normally. As for the output power after a fresh charge I put the batteries in and get no more than 600mW. I will probably be tossing this in the trash. Total waste of money. Pics to follow...eventually.

Laserbee's review is also less than ideal*.

Maybe jieff111 can compensate for it with just a few more posts praising his company?

*What do you call it, sparkling? glowing?

ETA:
It is kind of strange.
If I were doing marketing for a new company or new marked I would look for respected members and send out free samples for evaluation. I would also make bloody sure that those samples were up to specks.

Was there not one company that did that here a few months ago?

The downside to that is that communities used to dealing with bad quality (like us when dealing with mass produced chinese lasers) aren't going to pay much attention to reviews of obvious cherry picked samples given out for testing. The reviews from people who buy the lasers normally and get 'typical' units give much more realistic results.

And the 600mW sounds about right. Most 16340's, especially cheap ones, suck for high current output. I know the a130 diodes I have all need between 1100 and 1200mA at the diode to hit 1W of optical output, at least through an aixiz 445 lens. Add losses from a driver and it's probably going to be trying to suck 1.5A+ from the batteries. Only really high quality 16340's would be up for this.

You do have a point, but I would still do it.
The price of samples is negligible compared to a honest review even with a disclaimer of "manufacturers review sample"

This really sucks, I have no experience with rechargeable lithium's yet and kind of hoped they were up to high output effects.

I'll give you $50.00 for it...
That's more than the Trash man will give you...;)

Still better than the crap WL was sending out after a 2 months wait..

Yeah... WL did that a while back and it help their Laser building reputation...
Until the Arctic fiasco...

Here are the photos. I am not going to test he waterproofability of this laser for obvious reasons.

I am that yobresal will not be used in foreign counties, because every 1w blue laesr pointer of us can at least guarantee the power is over 800mW-1100mW. As for blue laser tube, it is different from the laser of 532nm and 473nm, the power is uncertain. As it lighting power needs the combination between 808nm and crystal, the light power will not increased by increasing the current. However, 445nm,405nm,650nm single laser tube can reach the rated power by adjusting the current, so it is very easy to make these single tubes have lights, you just need to adjust the current. We can increase its power to 1200mW. Therefore, it may be your own reason for only having 600mW light, whether the battery has enough electricity? I have learned from a friend that the power is only 735 under insufficient battery, so I said my product meets the standard. For many things, you should check whether it is your own reason.

What?

I don’t understand some of the foreigners, but please correct your attitude first, we are talking about the principles of the optical wavelength 532nm, 650nm, 473nm.405.445nm. Since we are using the same Japan 445nm laser tube, it is very easy to make the hand-held laser with the laser tube, as long as the circuit is added, its power lies in the current. It is no problem if we do 1200mW, we just tune up the current, coupled with its heat dissipation. If it is what as you say, why we want to make 600mW with the same tube, I am not sick, I would waste no resources. Only adjusting the current, the power can be up. Why not do it, I do not know how some foreigners are thinking.

I just think we have a strange tendency of expecting things we buy to work as expected without having to fix them ourselves to work as advertised... or even work at all.

You seriously have some nerve to say to turn up the pot them selves. They paid good money for an up to spec laser witch clearly its not. Money is Money even if it was $5 dollars its still their hard working money that they earned working hard to by that laser.

Also on top of that the laser has a faulty tail switch that you thought by sending and extra one that it would make it OK but really they now have 2 faulty tail switches.&

Very unprofessional IMO.

My .02 cents I just hate seeing people get taking advantage of it not far.

Are you going to take care of these issues that they are having?

Sometime, I have to take about principles and issues of switch, you don’t have to screw the switch tightly, actually the switch has no problems. We customize the inside button. The price is 5 times higher, the service life is 20 thousand times. You just loose it, rather than screw it tightly. People who know some of its principles understand that the switch can not be too tight.

It has an additional switch, it does not mean the switch has problems, so sometime people misunderstand it. It is a pity, we customize the switch, it will not have problems. We also use such switch in China, we sell a lot every day. We place an additional switch, because it is cheap, it does not mean anything. If this is the case, we would not put an additional switch, so as to avoid the misunderstanding. You should not screw the switch tight, if it too tight, there will be two holes, you can use the tweezers and put it in, screw it in the opposite direction. Some foreigners do not understand it, and they thought the switch is broken, so they use that spare switch, and screw it tight again. You can not put the blame on us.

I don’t like this forum, if my friend does not tell this forum, I would not be here. I found friends here are not friendly, at the beginning, someone called me liar, I am a reliable person. Now you are looking for another excuse. Foreign friends do not really understand it, I don’t care whether buy my products or not, I don’t welcome some boring people to buy my products. The price in China is higher, we sell well and business is good there.

I have seen through some foreigners here, the weakness of human nature, at the beginning someone take the initiative to contact us, asking whether we can sell the 1w blue at 85 USD, he said you can help us promote the product. Then, I replied to him that we agree to it. Later, someone called us liars in this forum on purpose, and use that email to humiliate us, stating we offer him the price of 85 USD and ask him to promote the product. Then when many customer received the email, it shows we are not liars. At this point, he said he just back from the trip. Whether we can sell the product at 85USD.

I was writing you the message + I started this thread.
I wasn´t subscribed for a while to this thread, was at a trip and haven´t followed the progress here.
At first I was very happy to see the 1W 445nm offer on your side and would have been happy to review and help you to promote your product (when it is good) on LPF here.

But then lvyilaser gave rise to doubts..
At first the 5 days delayed answer to my email question/offer... finding it in my SPAM container... the answer to the question according the diodes "What color are the laser diodes that are listed for $20?" - "they have blue green red yellow"... suddenly the price raising... wrong tracking informations + I got scammed by a DHGATE seller a few weeks ago and lost $90.

Another problem is that you can´t deal fairly with your customers. If you want to sell a product here, you should be friendly and explain potential misunderstandings. I´m glad that your Chinese customers are happy with your products, cause most of them don´t have laserpowermeters and experiences with the inner working of lasers. What I´m trying to see is that we are a more ambitious `audience´.

It´s very sad to see you throwing in the towel, you let slip dealing with some people who have big influence in the laser world. There are more than 12.000 members registered on LPF and much more guests + the people who see vids at youtube and asking "where did you buy this laser?" Laser companies rise or fail through LPF.

If you reconsider your reaction I would be happy to see you more often here, I really like your high powered 532nm lasers for example (great price if they are up-to spec). But if you are happy with your Chinese customers and aren´t interested in us, please GTFO.
