12mm Copper 3.8mm 5.6mm and 9mm Aixiz replacement modules

Do the 3.8mm modules work with the the 3.8mm OSRAM/OPNEXT 450nm diodes?
Also are the 3.8mm modules compatible with both the Aixiz 3 piece & Jayrob lenses?

If so I'd like to buy one.

I've got an Osram blue in my Pontiac module, works great!

That said, I'm not sure if Pontiac still has any of these in stock ?
 
BUMP- update... the pontiacg5 copper modules in 3.8 & 5.6 mm are being shipped soon to AixiZ.com store site and ordering them should be easy- I personally would appreciate that when you order you mention my name. Afaik AixiZ will be the only source of these, for now.(PMing a very busy pontiacg5 will not get you any modules or a better price afaik)
 
What's the actual pricing on these?

Pontiac and I chatted about this previously, and I'm going to make sure my aluminum modules are priced lower than the copper.

Mine arrive tomorrow, so I'd love to have a sense for where to price them.

I was rather hoping to snag one of the 3.8 mm modules. I have a red diode that is begging to be put to use. :)

Well- I have no prices to give you. That will be the choice of AixiZ.
You may want to start your own thread on yours. I dont think the price will be any higher than the one pontiacg5 posted for non-introductory prices.


He may be doing another run of these for the 9mm diodes too and possibly C-mount diodes. I will place the AixiZ link in this thread ASAP.:thanks:

So what's the relationship here between you + Aixiz? What's the purpose of mentioning your name?

If he does c mounts, that would be amazing. I've been encouraging him on that front for a while!

Nah-didnt see yours- I use 'heads-up' every time I do a heads-up.

I have been a customer at AixiZ for many years and eventually got invited to make the hours drive and meet the owners and employees.
AixiZ has virtually no walk-in customers and there is no 'store'.
My relationship is that of a friend/associate. I have offered to field some of the customer questions that come in at AixiZ and in turn I have gotten a few items for testing/review. I forward ideas to AixiZ from those who already know our relationship. AixiZ in turn has become a 'sponsor' of SELEM for two years donating generously to the doorprize pool and will be doing same at TEXLEM.

AixiZ is also a sponsor of my competetive Cook-Off Team(ThePitMeisters) for two years.

If he does c mounts, that would be amazing. I've been encouraging him on that front for a while!

I have posted the 'heads-up' in Derricks thread with his approval.
He is extremely busy setting up his own shop and with AixiZ doing the selling it frees him up from the ordering and shipping side of the biz.
He is trying to make the TEXLEM in San Antonio Feb 3,4&5. It will be great to see him again. We all had a super time at SELEM V last Aug.
He may have his pj done enough to show off the first (AFAIK) one to use a green LD. Any forum members who can make TEXLEM are invited to come. We do, however need to plan accordinly so please PM me for details. To learn more just google 'TEXLEM 'and follow the links. It is not a requirwement to join PL. And no need to own a pj. All LPF are welcome as long as the proper respect for the event is given.

According to UPS, I will as of tomorrow morning :)

Not sure on the pricing. Partly depends on whether EMS remedies a screw up in overcharging me. Will know more in the next day.

Ahah! Please don't PM Pontiac expecting a better price! I can't or won't do it, and I'm sure Aixiz's prices will be more than fair. I hope to do a lot more business with Aixiz in the future, they very well may be the "reseller" I've been looking for. I should have more time to spend making new cool laser stuff for us all instead of worrying about having time to sell it!

I made a small change to the 3.8mm module. The diode sits a little deeper in the module now, this will let "high power" lenses get close enough to the diode to focus properly. Any and all lenses will work in these modules. If you find one that doesn't fit or focus properly PM me and I will get you taken care of.

I'll be at TEXLEM this year and I encourage the rest of you to come as well. It's a bit weird walking into a room full of people you've only ever met online but us laserists are a rather friendly group. You'll be having an awesome time leaning and seeing all sorts of new stuff so quick you won't ever want to leave. The PL/LPF rift is non-existent in person, if you are letting that influence your decision for some odd reason.

And if you need a ride from somewhere between Kansas and Texas let me know. I'm planning on taking my truck but I'll take the G5 if I need the extra passenger space.

I will order them for testing, but it's a shame it is not the complete set as described earlier in this topic, mainly the back which presses the diode.
I will be ordering the standard 12x30 too and make changes.
I will keep you informed of the outcome.
