I don't - but he was on on the 31st. Don't worry, you're not alone, I'm still awaiting a reply also.

I received some 3.8mm modules from Pontiac, and they're phenomenal. I want to grab some more!

ahh thanks for replying rhd, would u also now if these will fit jayrobs 405-g1 lenses, because other copper modules dont such as garoqs. Thanks

I don't know off hand- but I could try to figure it out based on the module I have here. What's the reason Garoq's don't work?

the threading was too tight

Hmmmm. I don't understand - It's an M9x0.5 thread, or at least that's what these are. Do you mean Garoq's weren't 0.5 threading?

The other reason I'm confused is that I was under the impression that Jayrob used Aixiz lens blanks (with internal modification) for housing the G1. So I don't understand why Garoq's, even if the threading was too tight, would work for standard 3-element Aixiz lenses, but not G1s?

There must be some piece I'm misunderstanding here.

with a little research you would find im right this is pulled right from his blowout sale thread

"and have close tolerance threads that fit our AR coated 445nm glass lenses but are too tight to fit Jayrob's G-1 lenses"

You may be right. But I'm still confused ;)

AR coated glass lenses, and Jayrob G1s, are, to my knowledge, built with not only the sane thread specification, but in the same physical housings from the same source.

i dont see why else he would say that they dont fit g-1 lenses...

EDIT i think i figured it out aixiz les nuts are not made to a tight tolerance and neither are their modules but the copper ones SL got are the batch of aixiz 405's they bought fit the batch of g-1's did not ......

Mmm i , think rhd needs to try it out if u can?

Yep. Fits just fine :)

Pontiac hasn't been on in a little while though - hope everything's ok. I say that, realizing that it's pretty silly to suggest that there's a problem with not being on a forum in 3 days ;)

if anyone has a 5.6mm version of these ill buy it?! even if its used!

I'm still around, just don't have much free time lately. I've found a few really awesome side jobs and I've been spending most of my free time on those. Plus I'm trying to buy a steel building and a few machines of my own at the same time, I've never undertaken anything so huge before so I'm a little stressed and short on free time. Hopefully it will be worth it in a while though

I don't have any more 5.6mm modules right now, I sold out a lot faster than I anticipated and I haven't had a chance to make any more. If someone wanted to buy a bunch from me really cheap to resell I'm sure we could work something out. My copper modules should work just fine with Jay's G1, I use a few different aixiz lenses as thread gauges when I make my modules since I've yet to find an aixiz lens that is actually within tolerance for the M9x0.5 thread spec, they're usually a good deal smaller.

About the lenses...

I'm pretty sure that by "to close tolerance" it means that he just used a regular tap and didn't go through it with a bottoming tap, so a g1 cant get close enough to the diode because the threads get tight.
