10440 Battery vs. AAA?

Hi everyone,

I recently ordered the 405nm 200mw Pocket Series laser from Sanwu, it's supposed to arrive in the next few days. The Sanwu website says that it takes a 10440 battery. When I searched up these batteries, an Amazon result says both 10440 and AAA in the title of the item here.

i'm just wondering if, besides recharging ability, a 10440 battery is any different than a regular old triple-A alkaline battery. In other words, do I have to buy new batteries for this laser or will plain AAA's work? Thanks!

Yes you need new batteries, an AAA is not enough to power your laser, you will also need a charger and you will need to charge the battery before use as Li-Ion/Li-Mn usually ship uncharged. They are 3.7V but charge to 4.2V, AAA are only 1.5V. Those Trustfire you linked to aren't considered one of the better brands but they will be ok in your 200mW laser, I myself have some Trustfire batteries. The batteries not to buy are those cheapest generic blue ones with no brand name, also Ultrafire often aren't any better, and I am talking about any size not just 10440.

Hi,
PI is correct you need 10440 Efest batteries they are the best as of now on the market. RTD vape sells them here in the states , trustfire cells are garbage and as for a charger nitecore put out a good one for cheap..

I can't second this enough. I purchased a 10440 from Batteries Plus, 2 of them were dead and would not charge. I purchased 2 efest 10440's and had no issues. I would at present only suggest efest 10440's.

Uh oh.. I was planning on buying mine from batteries plus, were they Nuon brand batteries?

I tested tons of 10440s a while back (my most used rechargeable), and the efest and (genuine) trustfires have almost the exact same actual specs. The major differences were definitely in labeling and sizing. Trust fire was definitely not too honest on their numbers, but they were still cheaper than the efest batteries. I do like the efest sizing more, and they may have a better lifespan in the end if they're truly better quality.

If you do go with Trustfire, make sure it's from a reputable dealer that's selling genuine cells. Efest is about the same for that matter.
