Alright, so I forked out $120 dollars for my rayfoss green 100mW focusable, and its pretty good, except for the collimation... It was late one night I was unscrewing the focusing lens so it would focus better at far distances, but I was tired so I hadn't noticed I was turning it the wrong way... It fell into the chamber where the diode was... So it took my about 5 hours to get it back into the tunnel where it should stay... When it was back together, I turned it on, and it had insane splash! At 2 meters at a white wall, the spash is at least a meter... Its horrible. I dont want to have to get something to put over the top of the aperature, I'm just wondering if theres anything I can do to get rid of it? Thanks alot :)

You could just take the lens out and clean it with lens tissue (available very cheaply from camera shops) and 90% isopropyl alcohol. If that doesn't help, it means the lens has been scratched.

Oh man! Thats wicked! It went down SOOO much! at 1 meter its less than 30 cm... Maybe I'll try cleaning it again :) Thanks alot man I really appreciate it!

Good call! I had a problem with my Greenie and some splash months ago. I used a cotton swab and carefully rubbed my fingerprint off the lens. Splash was gone.

crudd i ruined my focal 50 mw aa unit the lense is dirty and i cannot get the slash from it i removed the lense and made a 78 mw dazler lol

When you clean the lens as Dale suggested (ELEKTROFREAK), make sure you use a CLEAN tissue or a different part of the Micro-fiber cloth, with each swipe on the lens. Otherwise you're just spreading the oils from you're fingers around & around......rob

I'm thinking about buying one of those Lenspens, they sound like the work well
