have a feeling 26650 batteries might be sold out if this is the new power source people use on 445nm lasers

DTR, I must say this is another great "beast" host you have built to run the 445 at high power levels!!! And Ehgemus, I am amazed on your detail and precision on this stunning host!!!

Once I have money again I definately want to get, no, need to get in contact with ehgemus to have him build me a custom host...so jealous...

Ditto.... your Host are the best out there... keep up the good work!

Thanks guys.

They definitely will be getting some attention. I would like to update. In the review I noted that the Batteryspace units had a larger positive contact and I just got a batch yesterday with the identical ones as from Lighthound with the smaller positive tab. I called them and had them check and John said that the new shipment he got were all that style but he would check with his supplier and see if they could still do the old style. Like I said before with this host it does not matter but If you want the batteries in serial the ones with the larger positive work while the others need some type of magnet or spacer which is not preferable.:D

Nice host, I'm getting a lathe for christmas and I plan to make my own host for a powerful 445nm. Other things too like a 6KJ electrothermalgun...But I really want to try to make my own host =D Like the looks! Do you know how to anodize?

I have not done any anodizing but that may be a good question for Ehgemus.

I have looked into it but I don't have the room for a good set up.

Yeah I didn't see at first where you said it was powdered. But good to know, just something I never tried :) any idea how warm it got after 10 mins? Temperature wise..?

You can feel the warmth moving through the host but it is not hot at all. Very impressed with the massive direct press head.:D

Whats the most current you can get from the AW 18650s? I though those would be good enough to handle the draw

I did try a dual microboost unit a while back with an AW 2900mAh 18650 and it keep doing the quick flash like it does when the battery is low.

So it wasn't enough voltage? Also, doesn't the Flex have quite a bit better efficiency than the Boost?

Also, I am not sure how you wire the drivers in parallel, can you throw up a pic? From the host to the battery? Thanks :) Parallel confuses me. Heh
