[0 AVAILABLE] FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100-120 Each

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

Do you have a facebook page you could share with us?

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

Right now I don't, but why don't people that want to talk to me message me because i assure you Mr. Wolfman doesnt want us to be blowing up his Ad.

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

Can u get the pen to do 100mw to 200 mw instead?

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

I can definitely set the power to any power below about 1.1W for these diodes!

@arctyler

Prior to the fake "rep" you still had credibility... now not so much.

Tell you what, if you were wrongly accused, send a picture of your driver's license, along with a piece of paper with today's date, and your LPF username to the mods.

Any seller would also ask the same of you...

If you are who you say you are, no problem... the truth always comes out, either way.

Btw, please don't double post.

Sorry that you got hit in the eye with your laser, and couldn't read my last post, but what I said was to MESSAGE ME, so Mr. Wolfman doesn't have his Ad blown up by trolls.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.... :thanks:

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

Wolfman - I've got a 1.3 watt 445nm pen :eg:
(using a 405-G2 lens in it with a 925mA x drive)

It's bad ass, but I don't play with it for more than about 10 seconds at a time. Hmm, that didn't sound right now did it?

*For people looking for less power in a pen, something like a maxed out groove 2 @ 700mA will get you around 600mw from a 445nm and an multi-element 445 glass lens. Duty cycle is much longer and it's still pretty bright. (I still like my 1.3 watt more though!)
I did a rkcstr 430mA 445nm pen with the cheaper glass lens and if I recall it was a 250-300mw pen, even that had a visible beam in low light.

That's a really efficient diode D: Was it an H1600 series?

Also - I've had a 1.6W pen with an Aixiz glass >:D Had stupidly short duty cycles. Was a really efficient diode, doing 1.4W with no lens at 1A. I disassembled it though and reduced the current.

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

Believe it or not - it came from a newer A140v. The diodes from the last A140 I bought have the same little circle markings Daguin found on M140s and H1600s (he did a thread on this and I sent him a diode to further examine to see what's up). Which leads me to believe I lucked out and found a cheap projector with M140 quality diodes. I've made a couple 445nm builds at 1.76amps doing over 1.9 watts with the ole aixiz glass, which means they are ~2.5 watts with a G2 lens (my kenometer is only a 2 watter at the moment).
Anyhow, that 1.3 watt pen initially metered something like 1059mw with an aixiz glass, so I knew I had a decent one.

Ideally for the best of both worlds (power output and duty cycle), I'd probably use a G2 lens for the best power, and set current to around 800mA - should get close to a one watt with a decent 445nm LD - and a tad more duty cycle. The use of a buck driver is highly recommended since these 10440 batteries only can take so much current draw, in my case, the xxxfire brand can handle maybe .75amps, but that 925mA buck driver only pulls around 500mA so they can run it fine. In your pens, you have the high quality IMR 10440s, which can handle 1.5amps I think? Pretty cool for a tiny battery.

Yeah - the IMRs I have safely discharge at least 1.25A - that's what I've seen, anyway.

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

Does the OP have any LPM charts of these pens. Not that I don't believe them to be 900mW but it would sure be nice if any claims are backed up with proof - of course that applies to everyone selling their laser with an output claim - commercial companies especially :)

They are nice looking and I can imagine a row of them in every available color :)

He has a DIY LPM and it is well documented here. He is a known seller and considered to be reliable. You can do some research here on him if you are interested in buying from him. I would personally say he is trustworthy and a respected member of the forum.

Re: FS: 445nm, 900mW-1W Chrome Pens - $100 Each

And I actually recently bought a LaserBee to confirm my DIY LPM... interestingly enough, my DIY LPM is a bit under calibrated for the lower wavelengths, i.e. it has been giving low readings for between 445-532nm. I read 206mW on my green on my DIY LPM and 226 on my LaserBee.

Anyway, the reason I don't have pictures up there is because all of the lasers, due to efficiency issues, have different outputs. With the more recent ones I have built, I am occasionally seeing 1.1-1.25W of output power for these pens. They really do vary, anywhere from 900mW-1.25W.

Even if they're only half the claimed output (which I'm sure they're not!) it's still a steal! :D

$50 diode
$4 aixiz module
$7 lens
$18 pen host kit
$8+ IMR 10440 batteries
$15+ Driver
= $102 not counting skills and labor to build in these little hosts
That's a give away price :D
