I did enjoy meeting people though. Dave was.. well.. Dave.. .

:crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:

Several of us (drlava, mixedgas, platinum, Lazerjock, and a couple of others) were off for BBQ at Little Pigs down the road.
Steve (LSRFAQ/mixedgas) looks down the table at me and says,

"You're not nearly as mean in person."

And here I thought everyone loved me :tinfoil:

The lasers are nice, but the people make the LEM for me

So how many people were there altogether?

I mean I know it was no huge convention, but still, from pictures it looks very small, 20 people or so?

Laserjock made ~50 name tags/lanyards for "paid" attendees.
IIRC we had another ~80 "guests" filter through the venue during the weekend.
EVERYONE who came in had to sign a waiver so the count is pretty accurate
This, of course does NOT count the firemen that responded to the alarm call or the bats ;)

Peace,
dave

 I've never seen you be mean. What the heck was he talking about? Maybe he got me and you confused.

Too much fog. Their smoke detectors just went by particulate in the air. Fogging the place probably wasn't taken into account when the alarm was installed.

Why not? You can check out his plastic rifle, and implants all at the same time.:crackup::crackup::crackup:

Awesome pictures!!! I'll definitely make next years. I attended NWLEM and now all I can do is ponder selling some quads, cars or whatever to fund diving in deep;) I'm hooked. Have a great 3 day weekend everyone!!!

It was a great experience and I will definately be back next year...with my own projector to add to the show. :)

As far as the alcohol, I think quite a few were drinking, but they kept it low key. My pepsi bottle definately was not 100% pepsi most of the time... :p

Yea, we did get a visit from the local fire company, but that stopped when we duct taped the detectors shut. lol. I'm sure it was a sight seeing Beamman and myself holding a ladder that was propped on two different levels of balcony seats while Platinum balanced on the top of the ladder to reach the detectors. :D

Man, arythna, what camera do you have? My beamshot pics suck compared to yours... Great review! Thanks for posting this. :thanks:

Edit: Lazerman, you said you would come get me for the collective beamshot photoshoot.... :( You never did. :cryyy: Oh, well. Next year.

Yea, I'm sure a lot of the guys there were thinking the same thing. We looked like a circus act up there.

^^^Some awesome pics there. Must have been great to look at those beams almost head on. I don't know about a three day weekend, but looking at these pics I think I'll head out to the next LEM for a day or two.

Finally! Someone posted pictures of the event. We hope to see at least pictures since most of us can't make it there.. Thanks!

thanks for posting the pics Matt and Zach.:thanks:
mine will go up soon.

There are tons of pics vids and links over at PL-look for' Postapocalypse' or something like that in the meets n greet section.
two corrections- the mini SPIRO (not gyro) i had was modded by Luke(yobresal)to use a 445 at barely laseing threshold-not made by me. AND
there were safety glasses used when ever needed. the guys at SELEM are always staying safe IMO.
women and booze?? you must be thinking about your friends-beer goggles offer no protection from photons.--lol

not smart to drive a car or a laser on alcohol.:shhh::beer::(

For? The pig???

and burning matches???

PLEEEASE!!!- we have worked hard to become accepted as serious laser hobbiests at the other forums-- we do not need anybody to un-do that.

I will assume all that was said in jest.:na:

so ha ha.

hak:)
