Ya, that wasn't his desk, he just didn't want static electricity to build up from his rolling papers and harm a diode....perfectly understandable, and a very aware thing to do. :gj:

Thanks :) We've had some benders here in the past few years ever since putting in a hot tub & the wet bar. I also have a 5mw laser setup that bounces off of some crystals & 6 mirrors horizontally just inches below the ceiling. Good times....

Heres mine. I'm still sweating from putting this area all together. No more electronics on the coffee table.

And what workbench would be complete without a laser and a fog machine (far right). I was going to turn it on, but it bloomed out the iphone's camera and hid the rest of the workspace. Toys include digital multimeter, 40 amp power supply, 20mhz dualtrace scope and a 30 watt soldering iron soon to be replaced with a new digital control up to 60 watt iron.

Featured centre is my 1 watt 445 labby, and far right the nose of my antari fogger :)

Too bad I only get to spend 2 days out of a week there.

You are very organized, nothing like my desktop right now..... I need to do some cleanup around here :)

Haha, you have no idea how wrong you are. Those are taken moments after we set up the new tables and furnitures in my room, hence the apparent "organisation". I will show you how my table looks like now, keep an eye out for the thread in an hour or so.

I just moved so now I have two new work areas one for machining and one for electronics.
Things did a switch up on me, my electronics work area got much larger and the machine
shop side got much smaller but I'm very happy with my new areas ;)

Here's a shot of the shop area I had my lathe and mill in befor I moved.

Here's a shot of where it is now. Much smaller but I do have one other area for the dirty work so this works out just fine ;)
As you can see there are 50 diode presses in progress right now, this shot was taken just befor I left there to be with mom.

My old electronics work area on a dinnette in a 27' camp trailer where I was living for too many years :yabbem:

And now I have made one bedroom of my house into a electronics work room, don't mind the mess I'm still moving in
and getting things organized.
We even used a laser during the construction of my new work bench :D
