ahora mismo lo agrego..
Gracias, Caballero!

This one's a bit more difficult, but I think it's important to discuss safety measures too... so maybe you might consider creating a new sub-topic at the very end (such as "Other products")...?

Univet 531 Safety Goggles Review

Well, give it some thought & I'll leave it up to you if you want to keep your thread restricted to lasers...

Hola chico.

Seems I dug up another review...

O-Like 130mW 532nm Module

Sorry for the added work... :p

Saludos mi hermano-del-Lazor

Ok... so I didn't want to add yet another post, but this is a one-of-a-kind piece of gear and a great review of it

This one's a bit more difficult, but I think...

You guys, I'm really thankful that you let me know about new reviews via this thread and/or (&& ; || :D) via PM since I can't keep track of reviews. Especially these past few weeks, I've been very busy :( I need to sort some things out before I can completely come back, but I'm still checking PMs every day so don't hesitate to contact me (either via PM or email).

Also, it's not my thread. It wouldn't exist if it weren't because of all your reviews, I'm just the organizer :)

I sometimes leave some reviews out not because they don't fall into the "laser" category, but because they're from only ONE company which is not currently listed, so having only one review from a rare company would add clutter to the RT in my opinion. If you disagree with this I'll add it right away.

Forgetting about my other suggestions, I would still like to see the O-Like review below added; I think it's an important review for LPF members... thanks.

Whoops! Sorry man, I must've thought I had already added it. I'm adding it right now :)

One question, where do you take your pictures? I mean, what surface do you use? Is it polished steel?

Hey Niko, no worries m8 ;) As for my photo "studio", I happen to own a very slick coffee table that uses a thick slab of sandblasted glass... makes for a cool, neutral background :kewlpics:(not to mention a killer coffee / "dining" table for my humble 50m² studio apt. :D)

You sure do love coffee :D

Hey, 50m^2 is more than enough! I'm writing in a 9m^2 room which is really big in comparison to my old one :)

Guys, I've come up with an idea:

How about a Member DIY score?

For example:

Member A has 10 reviews: 9 of them are positive; the remaining one is negative. His score is 9/10.

This can be a quick and easy indicator of how trustworthy a seller is.

What do you say?

Hola, Niko! I've done something similar, but I only have to deal with a handful of items. I think that while you have a good idea on your hands, it will be hard to implement (or keep up to date). Also you'll need to consider what to do for the DIYer with only 3 items reviewed... :-/

I think the color-coded review titles has been quite effective, with the (fortunately few) red ones popping up like a DEFCON 1 alert (lol).

But if you think you can manage it, why not

Well, my friend, you have put into words the exact same cons I had thought for the Scoring System, especially the "only 3 items reviewed" con, since it would appear as a lower score. I could develop a relative score system but THAT would be hard to keep up to date :p

Hi Niko,

look, I've decided to approach the topic of safety-glass review(s) again; In case you didn't notice, I sort of push the safety angle on this forum and there as a lot of people looking at sub-20$ glasses, most of which are probably garbage, but some which may actually be better than no protection at all.... .

At the moment we have a few interesting reviews, some with good results and others with less-than-stellar... . Anyways, I would highly recommend an own safety section - just a simple list of reviews, no more. Here are a few that I noticed:

I purposely omitted a few "reviews" which I felt were too low in content for anyone to make an educated decision. I also stopped when I ran into "old" reviews that were made in the "old" forum as they are badly formatted. If you create this section in your post, I am sure that a few may be suggested later on... ;)

Last but not least, I would hesitate to color anything green, apart from officially certified glasses.... .

I'm not sure I understand the question but the idea was that if you are shopping for safety glasses / goggles, you need to read each review and decide for yourself if the reviewed unit suits your needs and seem to be effective.

Although there are some damn good reviews where the reviewer used all of his/her resources (such as an LPM, IR filters & what have you), none of them, AFAIK, are qualified to guarantee the reviewed goggles are safe for our eyes.

An educated opinion from a respected LPF member on a properly-reviewed laser is all I need to make a purchasing decision but for goggles, I for one, will be a little more reserved with someone else's review. Hence my suggestion that we don't "color" these reviews...

A small error I found, under Focalprice's blurays the "200 mW Pen Style" is incorrectly marked 200 mW when it should be 20 mW. Nothing big, just thought I might mention it.

It's marked as a 200mW laser by the manufactured. JL said the laser puts out 54mW, though.
