Wes is just 16 or 17 whatever... I would show him respect, but with no job or sounding like no intent on a job it seems that he is fitting right in with most of the kids/not ALL in our fine nation.

When I was that age your opinion mattered next to nothing and rightfully so...you have to live a little to learn about the real world... not just suppose that you know it all because you can read or type. (Wake up early for 20 years without missing a day for work then you'll have a validated opinion). Granted there are exceptions & some of them are here on this forum.

Wes is bright, just young and full of...well you get the rest of it.

I don't want to bash those hard working kids doing all they can just to go to school make there parents proud & actually do something with there life.

Wes seems angry about the Gov. on all levels, and in short seems less inclined to take a side or come up with and idea to make things better...

This is evident in his posts...He started off all about lasers and the good stuff, then after some time he sounded like he was bored:undecided: (we all seem to be waiting for prices to drop or the next power up diode). This doesn't mean you have to start threads that get people upset... thats a sign of immaturity and obviously people have reached their thresholdresponses on this , just look at the responce:scowl:s.

This is an easy fix:

Just make a sticky under the Off-topic section for those people who want to start threads about the 9/11 and the rest of the crazy anti American

I'm sure that will solve the issue about undereducated opinionated full of themselves wining out of luck and friends or family posters to, if anything... something to do to take up the time of the day cause they don't have anywhere or anything better to do.

Building lasers is a hobby, hobbies where meant to fill up free time, go and build yourself some lasers Wes... soo they don't have to be 500mW monsters... be humble and build some 5mw reds from throwaway computer store crap.

Off topic but as it has been raised maybe someone can answer or point me to some info on the subject...here in the UK and the vast majority of the World the word nigger is a derogatory/racist word, but in alot of US gang culture it seems the norm for everyone to call each other it in a non derogatory manner.
Does anyone know the reason why this is, or what the word signifies in the gang culture?

Sorry for my naivity, just strikes me as strange when I hear them calling each other n***er
