I have this brand new laser diode bank
And i tested one diode without a heatsink or module hehe the color was amazing cyan and it overheated and burned so i pulled one more out and tested it at 1A and it overheated quick so i was not able to grab any pics of the color i post some pics tomorrow and press it in the module just to verify its cyan color !

It has the red dorito on the back like a/m140's. Are you sure this is something different? The blue to cyan wavelength shift could just be from it cooking itself without a heatsink

Whoops didn’t notice the typo created from missing the “f” in “shift” my bad for being a potty mouth lol

I agree, I've seen dozens of these arrays, definitely looks like A140/M140 array to me. Diodes often wavelength shift way high when overheating, especially if not mounted in a heatsink
 
I checked the all M140 i terminated 2 the best is 1.5A Max 1.7A at 2.0A the will dim down i did not use a heatsink just pressed in a module 👀
 
Are you selling any of these? I will be happy to buy one and I will test it on the forums! By the way for some context, these are old diodes that have been documented, used to be called A/M462s instead of m140s
 
On the side it's written M462 no idea what it stands for i will do a build soon and check it out i compared it to a M140 i have build and this look more like cyan color or maybe the just shifted in color because the module got hot it gets very fast hot at 1.7A at 1.5A it's beautiful strange how 200mw can make a huge difference i try taking a pic but the phone was having issues focusing on the color i take some using a camera
 
I'm looking forward to your photos of this diode's beam. Maybe a side by side with a 445nm diode.
 
Oh wow I didn't even see it had M462 written on the block. The M462's seemed to have dried up years ago so just coming across a block of them is awesome. They have very similar divergence and power as the M140 but with the lighter blue wavelength of the NUBM07.
