That looks like a Black Buck 8M from X-Woosee on eBay. I believe he charges $6.00 for shipping from Russia. DTR is out of them at the moment, so this is your only other option I know of.

We are often suprized how many join us, yet fail to see themselves as 'newcomers'.
We want to be a friendly/family forum.. and its only common respect/manners to get an 'intro' from ALL new members..

I'm just learning about all this stuff ,I honestly stumbled on to Lakers, I purchased a tool box in an auction, and among all the other things was what I thought was a very strange looking flashlight. I purchased some batteries for it and I am intrigued to say the least
Well it looks you made it safely I hope without looking into the laser which you thought was a flashlight...
That driver is most likely for something very powerful but any laser it dangerous..Do your homework please and learn.
Which brings the point of who ever built the laser you bought at auction should of labeled it..

I'm glad that you haven't done yourself an injury with the laser yet - if the one in your auction win had a BB6 driver, it's likely pretty powerful as that driver can run very powerful laser diodes. What colour was the laser? Knowing this, you can purchase appropriate safety glasses to protect your eyes from the beam.
I have tried to visit the site as much as I can, a lot of really interesting things for me to learn
It's a blue 7w, unfortunately a friend was careless and damaged the diode, so I'm going to have to get a new one

Lucky! I hope the fix goes alright. How did your friend damage the diode?
Dropped the laser I believe it must have landed directly on the lens , Anyway it doesn't work any more

You should not allow friends to handle your lasers as you can be responsible for whatever damage they might inflict on others. It is difficult to say what happened to a dropped laser. It could be as simple as a bad battery connection, or as bad as a defective laser diode and driver. Hope you learned a lesson from this.

Tru Dat Paul-'COULD ' have been worse.. I do not hand many of mine over to 'others' and when I do its either with key off and removed OR w/o batts. When asked why I did that my standard response is: 'like any gun--unload before handing over to another'.
AND some people often look into a laser when they cannot make it lase.
OR they bang in on their palm a few times and point into eyes again while turning on and off--WHY?? my theory ---- it is ingrained in us from many years of doing that exact thing to a flashlight..
its second nature to do that. imo
please consider sending your laser to a member for fixing.. not a simple thing really--NOTHING like changing a bulb in a flashlight. I doubt they would charge you very much.
ALSO did your response to being asked about eye protection??
we cannot stress this too much.. YOU seriously need GOOD glasses for BLUE lasers and the cheapies are really not good enough for 7W not even close. IF (I pray NOT) you or someone gets an 'eye hit' we pray you will NOT post that.. please... its a bad thing for all of us.

BUT laser injuries should not be EVER be posted in the open forum.
WE are NOT able to give any medical advice AND 'others' who read of injuries will see this and it appears suddenly in many places. ( AND that is no joke) keep laser talk positive and avoid anything negative if you can. Ask sensitive questions via PMs only.
