I thought it might be a useful exercise to defragment the available information on the drivers currently available to the hobbyist community. I've tried to hit all the high points; please let me know if something needs to be amended.

PLEASE NOTE: I've spent quite a while combing through the threads of the respective drivers to try to get an idea of the specifications as rated by their respective designers. The specs listed below are what's listed by the designers; but the point of this thread is to aggregate them in one single, updateable place.

I've presented them here in the order that I found specifications on them. So, in no particular order.

I don't think I've missed any current drivers... but if I have, say so! :)

I would love some of those mosquito drives... hint, hint. Microboost?

What about the Ghost drive they are worthy of a mention.

Good info, great thread.

I think you should mention the availability sites there too and recommended diodes for each of them.. That would be a plus , mainly for the new people i guess..

Awesome compendium thread trevor

Looks good Trevor!

I can test my drivers out later and give you ripples for the benboost, atmaboost, x-drive and e-drive.

Added the X-Boost and the MicroBoost. Regarding laserluke's driver... I couldn't find any meaningful documentation on it. Do you know of any?

Can you add some photos of each device if possible?

I'll pull some and get them sized to a standard size and added.

Done.

Done; I'll add the Ghost Drive in a bit. :)

EDIT: Done.

Thanks!

Places to buy, and recommended diodes... okay. I think a section at the beginning stating diode characteristics might be better, so that the specs can indicate what diodes each driver would be good for.

Anyone want to chime in on that?

Looks good Trevor!

Excellent!

I don't think he ever released any kind of a document but the driver is using the same IC as FMT drive and should be very close in specs to it.

Ty Trevor, this is definitely a big help. Can we get sourcing information for tracking them down as-well?

Really nice thread!

I have scoped the benboost and posted the results. Somewhere on page 40 or something :p. Ill go back and find the %. Max output voltage is 28v but really depends on the parts you buy, usually 16v from the caps. On the safe side, id say ~1A max for the old version, 1.5A for the newest "mini" for a 445nm diode from one li-ion.

Edit: its about +/- 2.5% current ripple
