Im not judging Kiyoukan -yet-.
But im making this topic so the buyer is beware, i can loose some more steam, and pray if someone here has a way of contacting him besides email, PM and skype.

Holidays start tommorow and i will take alot of things, but also the fear of being scammed...hopefully it wont ruinin too much fun during my stay in spain and other places.
Luckily i have access to internet sometimes....

It's normal for him. He disappears for large chunks of time then comes back. Honestly I would have joined that GB if it wasn't him running it.

ive read on of those threads before.
The worst point is his promise. well he didnt literarry promised anything but he did say on skype:

"Sry to be late on replys but its the holidays here 4th of july so i have been busy all week i got the windows in for the unit and should be able to glue them in place and have it done next week given so further changes are needed.
*no further changes are needed lol its late"

This was July the 7th. the last day i heard of him.

Yep, he's known for it. Glad to see someone else keeping track of these things too..

I just love how there's always some idiot over on PL talking about how their sellers should be allowed to do whatever they want with no obligation to their customers. drlava started that trend, and apparently it's becoming the way business is done over there. Why on earth anyone would spend a dime of their money with a seller over there is beyond me.

Cant refund or ask for dispute because i transferred as gift...wich was the logical choice because his reputation and because paypal's buyer protection isnt valid for partial payments anyway...
But if he doesnt answer soon i will be mad against him....but nothing i can do...:/
And i thought a high repped member could be trusted well maybe i can...but im doubting alot right now and every hour the "im being scammed" feeling rises up more.

Everyone ALWAYS says that you should NOT send PayPal
payments for products as a GIFT....

Did you buy those parts from him here or on PL...:thinking:

If the latter...perhaps you can get a hold of him on PL...

I'm having a hard time thinking of anything on earth with lower importance than what the PL crowd likes. The more people within the greater laser community that hear and see feedback from buyers and sellers the better it is for business throughout the greater laser community. At least IMO..

It was against my complete judgement that I went into that group buy run by Kiyoukan for those galvos some time a half year or so ago. This was after two prior incidents where he dropped the ball: 1) he upped the price on something I was trying to buy, but would not send another PP invoice despite being asked repeatedly; so I just demanded a refund that he somehow could be assed to carry out immediately; 2) he never did deliver fully on some Ca$io projector parts I bought from him; the ones he did deliver were mismatched; eventually DTR sent me some FOR FREE because he's such a cool guy, and partially out of empathy for having to deal with KK too.

Back on the subject of those galvos, remarkably Kiyoukan actually delivered--but I still wonder what I was thinking despite it actually going through. Maybe it was the Paypal dispute that I could've opened if necessary. Still, I remember him complaining that some sort of financial problems put him at a loss and he couldn't take advantage of the GB. A bus load of rubes on this forum (sorry, but you were) were just gushing over this statement to help him pay for a set of his own. Yeah, I know GBs are a pain, but this is a pattern of financial failure, and he was buying more random stuff shortly afterwards.

So I guess I'm really not surprised by this recent KK failure. I see his GBs in the GB section, and while they seem like they might be cool and a good deal, I have to remind myself that his track record is pretty abysmal. It ended up being 1 out of 3 incidents that were successful for me personally. Maybe he has slightly better response when there is a group buy because then he has the full force of the forum against him if he drops the ball. As for personal dealings with the guy: NEVER AGAIN. The guy is a financial flake at best.

Oh it's never a matter of difficulty, just irresponsibility. Message board rep (not bona fide reputation) is just a popularity contest, and shouldn't be relied upon.

It was your own fault for not heeding the multiple posts on the
Forum about NOT sending PayPal payments as a GIFT that removed
any recourse in getting a Refund...

You have no one else to blame but yourself for not protecting
yourself...

BTW... ANY payments made by PayPal as GOODS are protected.
PayPal GOODS payments are not void if you send your payments
in 2 parts (partial payment).
Each PayPal GOODS payment is separate and protected separately...
