i think you could build a mass array of 635nm diodes for that

Based on the current price for 532nm diodes (actually, the closest you can buy right now is ~525nm), you could build a "mas array" of exactly 14 diodes.... and you'd have roughly 700mW, not accounting for losses from optics ;)

This is... kind of ridiculous XD Really powerful though. Think of the beam! (Even though it would be strobing :P ).

It would be worth it.

...C'mon... try to tell me I'm wrong. ;)

Why in the world would you buy 14 green diodes, Just buy 10 DHOM 532 units for around 9k and combine them :eg:

IIRC this one was doing ~14W

I think you have the one and four backwards, Dave. :eg:

dang dave you got some big toys

That's NOT me.

I don't even have 220V here :(

That's Laserman532

Also, as cyparagon pointed out, my memory was WAY off

That one was putting out 42W

This was at an LEM in Oregon a couple of years ago

He had it set up with a set of galvos and did some "show" with it

It was AWESOME!

Peace,
dave

Experts who are using stable non-handheld systems can get away with that. With a "locked down" laser, if you know where the beam is, and you're not going to be stupid, you'll be fine.
