New diode!!! Nubm47-a1

Whats the wavelength and rate power? I just so happened to have a host in the making right now that this new diode could fit nicely into.

Abarnete while a it you should test your driver as well...( i recently purchase a nub44 from you with 4.5 amp driver....) the diodes work fine but the drivers well...are not adjustable....it only allow the diode to lase at threshold current....(who was your supplier?)

These diodes come in a 10x diode array

Have you tested output and divergence, say with a G2 at 10 feet?

NUBM44 with G2 is 2 inches at 15 feet
NUBM06 is 1.5 inches at 15 feet
and the 140/7875 is 0.75 inches at 15 feet.

With a wider block maybe the divergence is better? That would be a welcome change even if power was about the same.

Interesting, they have no Gball. Did n1chi@ stop using the Gball, or is this an older diode?

There are several of both kinds in production/use.
Both have advantages and disadvantages, I wouldn't mind a windowed 44 with better divergence, that would be great.

THIS MAY BE AN IMPROVED NUBM44

You can see they did the flip upside down from top to bottom just like the 44 blocks.
Top row the waveguide faces up, bottom row the waveguide faces down.

I suppose it is normal for them to release new diodes and not include them on their website:(
Too much teaser and not enough info;)

I'm going to announce a new 12W, make up some model numbers and tell everyone I will test when I get around to it and then ignore everyone but post everywhere else lol

What is that LD slot module Nichia lists as a 401-405nm at 20W?

This helped me out, good diode divergence comparison! I would rep you, but I have to spread it around first.

I'll be surprised if it's under 9 watts.

Wow. That's insane to see, and would be even more insane to see a block of these things powered. Hopefully DTR gets to selling them soon, I'd like to see what he prices these at (per diode).

90 Watts of blue from one block. Now that's something I wanna see.

Oh my!!! Subbing!!! Canned diode or Gball?

Also subbing! I think they're canned btw

Would these need some kind of new or upgraded drivers? From what I've heard the drivers are already the main thing limiting duty cycle with the 5W+ builds. If properly heatsinked the diode is fine, but you'll burn the driver up.
