i personally agree with jriga when he says it's not ok to wait this long for whatever we paid for!beeing a laser or something else...the point is that Igor basically didn't tell us how things really were......saying everything was ready and shipped in february.....then again end of february ive got another email from him just after the storm saying "i can now go to the p.office and post yr laser......and still is now end of march and no laser on my hands!!!!!on another email i asked him if i would have my laser (along with other bits i bought off him) by the end of march, and he replied "that is a month and a half away!you will have it in a good week! (email sent 11 Febr)
i know Igor is a great guy and his reputation speaks for itself but still.......

An interesting metaphor... But really. I don't see people hanging on for dear life while the icy waters of the Atlantic creep closer and death awaits them. A little over-dramatic, dontcha think? All I see is a few folks who just want. Want their lasers. Want explanations. Want Igor to email them. I want my RSP to be worth what it was 2 years ago too, but hey, life doesn't always go to plan now does it? Every time I buy something here, or on eBay, I take the risk that I'll never see that money again, just like you guys. I'm certainly not any voice of "authority"... that's laughable. But I have been scammed and swindled enough in my many years to tell a scammer from an honest artist. That's not authority... that's just hard-won wisdom. To think that Igor should take time to honour hobby commitments when his entire livelyhood is at stake is frankly, just plain selfish. Knowing what we know of his situation, another week's patience is not a lot to ask. The packages that were "misplaced" after sending, (mine included, BTW) will be found or replaced in time. I know Igor well enough to trust in that.

Ain't no Kool-Aid here. Just the double-shot cappuccino of compassion. You can choose not to drink. You get what you give in this life... think about it.

Speaking as a member of "Batch 2 - RoW", I'd just assume know where my IgorT 6x is right now, really I would. If anyone suggests they don't need to know then they are lying through their teeth. We are all human, we are all weary of the economic crisis and we are all cautious with dealing out our hard-earned money. I, for one, cannot afford to write off $272.00 and indeed hope that this will not be the case.

Having said that, I will not contest Igor. As a matter of fact, despite the economy being as it is, I am willing to take the risk if it means not only getting Igor's laser in the end, but getting back Igor's input into this community which (among with input from other invaluable members) makes this community what it is and is the underlying reason why I am here. If my words do not relay Igor's genuine commitment to this "hobby", to this community, then maybe his own words will:

Thanks CC!  I seem to remember Coherent had to wait like 5-6 months for a Laser beam Expander from LaserGlow, his money was paid long long before they came through and he showed his good character then, as you are now!  I will keep patiently watching, and trust Igor even when things are taking too long to be comfortable.  I know that his heart is in the right place.  If it became impossible for him to make good, (however unlikely), I can't say I am worse off from having him and his contributions in our community.  btw, I am waiting for 4 lasers.  and no love lost for Igor at all.  If that's drinking the Kool-Aid,  fill mine up!   ;D

We know that Igor make the best blu-rays.
We know Igor is trustworthy.
We know he is very busy with tax issues.
We know its troublesome to answer hundreds of mails.

-> BUT he should be able to write an update-post on his own sale tread. It takes 30 sec to write it.
Many find his total absence frustrating. Its just bad customer service.

To the best of my knowledge, Igor has not been at his home during this trouble, in his all consuming trouble with his personal business, he has been seeking a missing person who is vital to his bread and butter business, if he were able to get on the forum, he would reassure folks of what, (I think), is obvious, that in the best time he can, he will fill his orders.  I have no wish to make him be in constant communication about my hobby orders, while his financial house is in danger of burning down, or his freedom is possibly on the line!
 Yes, he does owe folks the equipment, and no, it should not require a pound of his flesh or other unreasonable sacrifices!  and yes, that is my own opinion! :-X

No one can speak for Igor other than Igor. So all these opinions, assumptions, debates have no merit cause Igor is not involved in the conversation. So until he chimes in let it die. All opinions and gripes are well noted. To keep going over and over things are a waste of space and time.

Okay, let's get this straight. In 4 days (that's right, FOUR), Igor will either be in jail or here answering your questions. We obviously hope for the latter. Can we all just wait 4 days for him to respond with something? This thread has exploded after paypal was mentioned.

The deadline for the IRS over there is March 30. 4 days. So yes, I do have this as fact. He has told me that once that date comes, he will be relieved and able to help anyone.

EDIT: I recieved an email from an obscure address of his with a request and a few sentences of info.
