I'm assuming that final value was supposed to be 835, not 935?

Graph fun :)

Beam specs? Does it look as flat as the 300mW ones?

Yes Correct on that. 835mW. "FIXED"

What program do you use to graph.?

this looks way better IIRC "dips" show you where you should keep the current for safe long lasting etc. the comparison graph you made showed a bit i think. it went in more of a steady line. do these have the same divergence problem? i hope so cause i just bought the optics that fix it....

we really need some testing with active cooling im guessing we could squeeze way more power out with a TEC.

and yay finally here..

I reckon we could get 1300mW ez with a TEC

Yeh man! But you would have to use those corrective optics which will take up a crapload of space and they might drop the output by 50mW but, it doesn't matter, the beams gonna be two times smaller :p

with the better profile relative brightness will actually increase and already have optics on there way

Lazereer...Can you do a quick test with the 405-G-2 lens for mW output...at 850mA and 1000mA ??? Thanx for being first !!! CDBEAM

So could this be about the same as the 300mW with maybe some cooling advantages to the can being removed.

Here is a peak @ 1.5A that I got with the 300mW but it did drop prety rapidly untill it kind of leveled off about 800mW. Does the 500mW act about the same?

Edit.

I am just noticed the 500mW does seem to be running @ a lower voltage @ 1.6A than the 300mW does @ 1.5A.

It for sure is not the same diode or even the same die as the 300mW one. I cant take pictures of both of the 300mW nd 500 since now there in modules but you will have to take my word.;) THe Dies re totally different in size.

Its does not drop off like the 300mW doo.:) AT ALL IN FACT. Its pretty Rock solid at 1.5A.

I shot this video just now to show how stable these really are.:)

Thoughts.?

I think the 500mW ones are much better in being stable then the 300mW ones are. Even at 1.6A its Justs as stable.

Iam getting ready to put this in a Build right now. It will be up in a little bit. Then i can test the rest of the stuff.

My Work shop work area as you can see is not very big.

Looks good. Yea after I posted I saw when looking at your photo next to mine how much of a voltage difference they were running @ around 1.5A and knew they are obviously different beasts.

Do you have a 300mW that you can do a shot of them side by side on a wall at distance. I would be interested to see what differences their output gives.
