yellow dot in field of vision (6X BR laser)

BrewCity, are you all right? We are all concerned about your health man.

that happened to me too while I was staring at PHR dot trying to focus, but yellow dot gone in the morning but I stil see blue colors slightly different than usual.

If it was still there in the morning, AND he went to see an opthalmologist, he may be on enforced "eye rest."

Give him a few days to respond.

Peace,
dave

If it's gone in the morning I'll let you know, but this doesn't look good.

I know better.

Ouch, I wouldn't be able to sleep. I'd be shitting bricks if that were me, like seriously. Hope it gets better soon...

I had it happen to me once for about an hour or so. I hope it goes away for you.

Maybe he accidentally shined it directly in eye. If he was just staring at dot it should be gone for now

Sorry about the delay in getting back with the results, it's been a busy couple of weeks wrapping up the end of the summer "Festival Season" ....

OK, here's the skinny - I was showing off my 6X like an idiot with a scanner system and an inadvertant hand slip caused the beam to directly reflect into my eye off the FS mirror, about 6 times in a row, quickly (the mirror was active at the time). Well, long story short, about an hour later I posed this thread, and the yellow dot remained quite pronounced (along with a headache) for the remainder of the night, especially when I shut my eye. By morning, the headache was still there a bit (which could have been the tequila) but the yellow dot was only barely visible when I shut my eye tight (and that itself may have been a "ghost" who knows...)

Bottom line, I'm OK, thanks for the concern - but I would REALLY like to stress the importance of eye protection again and again - I have been playing and working with lasers for some time now, and I will admit 2 things, #1 I have obviously become lax with my safety consciousness, which I have since fixed, and #2 I had absolutely NO IDEA how quickly a simple mistake could actually jeapordize my vision, it was SO FAST I had no real time to react until temporary damage was done!

Whew - close call!

haha ... by the title, I thought he meant there was a yellow dot in his 6x laser..

But its a good thing to hear youre fine..
