Where to Buy G9 Lens

I'm not even sure there's anything in the plastic box except more clear plastic. I think those are reflections from the light source used to take the photo.

Thanks for the explanation. I thought you guys were talking about a special lens barrel for the g9 lens.

I've got a bunch of brass lens housings coming and will supposedly be delivered on Monday. I have several loose lenses that may find their way into these housings. I hope the tracking information is correct and I will see them by then.

So :friend: ...anyone know were i might be able to source a couple of these G9's too

Outside of buying some NDB7875s, I doubt there is. Unless, someone with several wants to send you some, they were never used as a source for lenses you might purchase, AFAIK.

Paul. I could see it looking like a reflection but its a gel like cushioning. I have 2 of them.
It's hard enough to not come off and ruin any lenses or barrels.
They are actually Urethane gell cases made for jewelry and coins as far as I remember.

Hi GSS, It's a Urethane gell film in the lens boxes and it does a great job in keeping the lenses from getting scratch or from rolling around.

Rich:)

 G2, DTRG2, G7, G9............etc,etc,etc

Looks like we need a "list of lens" thread started  if only i could remeber who makes these "list" threads

Oh, I'm aware of the lens holders. They are used for loose lenses just like ESD diode boxes are used for loose laser diodes. I just didn't see any signs of it in the box. And I blew the photo up to many times the size of my 17.3 inch screen. If there was one in there, it wasn't easily seen.

Those pics look like the wider single element that came on some 7875 diodes, it won't fit in the standard M9 x 0.5 lens barrel if it's the wider lens.

The one you want are the G9 that's 6.35mm wide. I'm not sure but they look wider and that ring/lip around the circumference is not there on any of mine, the ones in the Techhood ad look like they have higher sides.

Here's what the right ones look like: > https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nichia-NDB...629892&hash=item1a2a1ad0c6:g:Me4AAOSwvihY9oog

Here's one of mine.

Also the blank barrel retainer is dished out, that is it's pocket is half spherical, that high edge/square edge lens in Techhoods pic I don't think would fit.

Thanks for the info red
I'll double check with them but it does seems these could be the wider lens, going off your pics
I'll post back asap...

OK, just got word these are 8mm lens, not the standard 6.35mm so they wont fit the usual M9x0.5 lens holders beloved by us all :D

I saw this in my email this morning as I get updates from Techhood as well as other sellers on eBay. Glad you confirmed that diameter. I wasdn't going to buy as I have enough for my needs, but someone else might have bought some, only to find they won't fit.

as redcowboy mentioned correctly those look to be the langer ndb7875 lenses that doesn't fit on standard m9x0.5 threading.
for better understanding here is a pic from the 2 different diameter lenses that coming from 7875's diodes.
just to mention that the photo isn't mine*
