kaspersky internet security 2011 domain blocking is sick, so u can block traffic from specific domain extensions. or have it warn before letting that traffic thru

this is really useful b/c a lot of exploit kits are hosted on certain domains more frequently (.co.cc, .ru , .info, .in) etc etc

I used AVG for the longest time. Then they had that update and messed up a bunch of computers, was even worse for my Mac with Bootcamp, nothing would fix it and i had to delete that partition fully and reinstall Windows and lost a lot of important files.

So now I use the Microsoft Security Essentials and love it.

My mom used to have a Avira, but the PC got so slow (as windows machines does in time) and there were viruses got on machine weekly so I installed Ubuntu Linux. Now days the computer is trouble free :)

I use a Mac (Mac OS X 10.6) and would NOT change back to windows, neather do my fiance. Macintosh is ours thing.

PS: Macs are not adverdise at all in Finland. The reputation goes mouth to mouth.
PS: Did you know where the Linux came from

I use opensuse (linux) on every computer I have unless they run Irix. So no antivirus software needed at all.

Wow. What systems do you use that run IRIX?

I don't think I've heard IRIX mentioned since I saw Jurassic Park. ("It's a UNIX system!")

I use ESET for my personal machine because I have 2-year subscription for cheap. For all the other computers I'm in charge of, I use Microsoft's Live Security Essentials. Works good, highly rated, and free.

For my personal firewall I use Comodo.

Hey guys!

I've been using ZenOK Free Antivirus... spam spam spam zenok spam and spam

That sounds awfully sketchy to me. For one, it sounds like you're paid to say that. For another thing, I've never heard of this product, and any site I go to find reviews is trying to push it as if they're being paid to. And finally, what the hell does this mean:
Protect your data against coffee spills or a laptop freefall. Prevent accidental file deletions, hard drive crashes, fire, floods and lightning.

If your antivirus product can really manipulate the weather prevent acts of god and travel back in time and rewrite history, I think you're marketing it wrong.

For a GOOD free antivirus that's not a scam, try Microsoft Security Essentials - By far the single best free antivirus product I've ever used. Avast!, AVG, and Avira are all very good second choices. I would not trust "ZenOK antivirus".

Avira & Avast running same time.
Online armor for firewall.
All are free b.t.w.
Avira catches most everything I have run into though, so I have to rate it #1.

Norton, McAffy are a drag as they use too much resources and do not catch as much as the free ones do.

I did a lot of researching for best rated and reviews, testers- Avira was at the top
but here's a good link that rates the free ones :)

What is the Best Free Antivirus Software? AVG or Avast! or AntiVir?

I just got hit by a trojan (JAVA/Agent.X.1 & JAVA/Agent.FK) from a site.
Was looking for an airtank on craiglist and a guy sent a picture of text that told me to go to this site to see the picture of his tank, and I bought into it as he sent this pic from his ipod.
Stupid me! If he was able to send a pic containing text, he could of sent the tank pic.
I don't own an ipod so was caught off guard.
The address open a full blank page with a box containing Chinese and I couldn't close it. Also unable to close Firefox, so TaskManager was used to shut it down.

Anyway, Malewarebytes, Iobit, Avast didn't see it.

Only Avira found it... But only from a manual scan, even though its suppose to catch it automatically... (Maybe virus [Trojans] never was executed...)

But, Avira has always been the one that catches stuff automatically while my others never seem to catch anything.
I'd like to vote again for Avira!

I got Microsoft Security Essentials. Works great, blocks bad stuff on sight, updates every couple of days, if not sooner. Nowadays unless you mess with Julian Assange or go to lot's of porn sites (sorry), you're not likely to get a serious virus. I can't even remember if I ever had one that wasn't immediately stopped by a free antivirus programs I always used.
