Well after hearing about me becoming a new father soon Isaac, AKA wannaburnstuff, was kind enough to send me a baby shower gift? Seeing I didn't really have any red pointers he sent me a Kryton Groove and an LPC-826.
Driver is a Mohgasm linear at 375mA. Spring is for the positive contact near the battery stop inside the host.
Soldered the driver directly to the diode. Some are not a fan of this but the way I have it set up the battery only applies the slightest bit of preasure. Just enough to make circuit contact.
Slapped on a little Cu heatsink for the hell of it. Though at 375mA I doubt it needed it.
Epoxied the lens barrel focused to infinity.
After that dried, epoxied the focusing knob to the lens. So nothing up front moves and its focused to infinity. Just the way I like it.
Here it is making my 632.8 look really orange.
Here's another neat shot of it on my Dinky! Laser metered in at 127mW. Not great but manageable as far as high output handhelds go.
Thanks again Isaac for this awesome gift! I really appreciate it!
