vote for more powerful fasttech modules!

Lets just hope because I love the 50mW but even more power would make me even more happy!!

Just an update to this tread, it has been moved to started!!! :D so this means this is going to happen!!! Thanks for your help and votes guys!!

Nice work everybody. I am going to order some 100mW for testing. :)

well we will just have to see what they get and how much. I think either way it will be worth the money!!

When they put them up I will order a few as well and LPM them.

Yay! This was a great idea awillis! I have some hosts waiting for them :D

Kudos to you, awillis2589...if it weren't your action, more than likely nothing would have happened

Thanks guys!! I'm really Grad I took the chance on these, and thanks to Blord for doing a great review after I informed him about these little beauties.

K, possible concern with the Fasttech situation. The 50mw modules are no longer listed and when I put the SKU in for them 1083000 it takes you right to it but then when you click on Product details / buy now it takes you to SKU 1057303 5mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm). The resistor values are different if it is the correct picture. The 50mw ones are 5 ohms and the new ones are either 200 ohms (if the bands are red) or 3 Kohms if they are orange.
The rest of the board looks the same from what I can see. There's one review for that module saying it was way brighter than his previous 50mw for what it's worth.
When you search for lasers it says 23 but only shows 12 and all 5mw.
Hope they aren't binning them now. Possible they are just changing everything to state 5mw on their site for legal reasons.
Looks like we'll have to look into what is going on....

On a side note, just received 3 50mw modules and 2 of the single aaa batery pens.
2 of the modules were 50mw and the other one was 101:)
What was even more interesting was the pens, Peak at 81 and 84mw on start :D You can definately see the difference between a 50mw module and the brighter pens.

I don't see why they would change the modules to 5mW for "legal reasons"

What I mean by 5mw is just how they describe it ontheir website.
Noticed that the 5mw 5V 532nm module shows a pic of the same bourd as the 50mw modules so they may be just throwing around stock pics.
We'll see what the deal is with the modules they link to as they are really cheap. Ordered 5 of them (for consistency testing) along with 2 more of the WAY overspec single AAA pens.
Won't know for a couple weeks or so how they test out. If they turn out to be only 5mw then I'll make some "safer" pens to give away and use as demos.

Thats what i meant, probably could of worded it a bit better :D Can't wait until you start testing them. :)

They only have two green modules on their site now.....maybe they are switching manufacturers to obtain 200mW ones....

I see they only have a 5mW violet module as well. I had a host waiting for a cheap 100mW violet module :(
