(Video Added)The worlds most powerful handheld 445. 3.5W 2 LD array

I think you'd better call this a hand phaser! What an epic build!!

Blue with envy. If you sell it, I'll buy it for bragging rights... :) kidding.

Considering the numbers that people are now hitting with the m140 diodes, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 4.5 or even 5W laser in the near future from WB.

Wish he'd get off his lathe and show us something new already though:gun:

Yeah.... Wannaburn is a busy little Canadian beaver...
He must be working on something to impress us
again....

Jerry.....
I am glad to be reminded of this post by seeing it again, only thing is - is that I went thru all 9 pages hoping he revealed how he did this combination and learned nothing of it! :(

The optics in this are amazing, but that host is a work of art too! Mad props to you on that one!

Wish he would post pics of the inner module holding the diodes... not that I would want to cleaverly kang his design. Great build by the way.

Oh damn...

Without goggles your eyes will just instantly ignite.

I was telling one of our engineers at work about my lasers and this site. After hearing me describe how I had built my 405, he immediately said, "I bet you could use more than one diode and use optics to combine the beams!"

I smiled and said, "Let me e-mail you a link!"

<grin>

ok very impressed
ive been trying to figure out how to combine 4 beams
i have more space available to accommodate the parts
i must know how to do this
so far ive only had 3 beams side by side
very cool
im not sure if im allowed to post my email address so let me know if you need contact info
thnx
