I don't know why in the world any person would send you a penny for a product with such shitty customer service! to

to be fair i Must point out i have gotten excellent customer service/support from jerry. in some cases Way above and beyond just "good".

I am thinking of selling it because i am making another one. But only in a few weeks because i still cant use the arm..

The ophir head is the best purchase in my lpm'ing career before this i used a bluefan basic lpm.

Obviously I'm a bit late jumping on the bandwagon here, but imo Ophir is the way to go.

I started out with a Laserbee 2.5W and it was great for a while.

After getting the Nospin Ophir though, I never used it again.

The response time is the deciding factor for me.

Started with a HLPM II back in 2009, but was in need of a new, better LPM soon. Gladly nospin offered his LPMs for a good price and I´m still very happy with it! The response time is the biggest + for me.

Only problem was that the battery pack I purcased with it died after 2-3 weeks.

Have you tried opening it up? It may be a standard li-ion size you can replace

Well, I did it! I placed my order for the Ophir 20C-A today! Now, I just need to find out what meter options I have. I've tried the threads...coming up w/ an LCD screen, ARGMeter, PCB (which one?) etc...there's alot to learn while I get by w/ my DMM. Data logging will eventually be a must!

Well, yeah...that would work for now. I'm wanting to eventually do an entire DIY setup with LCD screen, Arduino, etc...

I get you but at what advantage? None... And at an added cost. Only problem is that loging Dmm are expensive but the advantage is that you can use them for many other things.

Norberto, my ultimate plan is to have a meter than I can hook up to my laptop and be able to print out data logging on every laser I sell (or meter for others). It's a great way to show the quality of your laser design, as compared to just quickly shooting a pic of your peak LPM reading and passing your lasers off that way.

Plus, it's an opportunity for me to learn even that much more about circuit building, handling, firmware, etc. I don't like not knowing things..

Oh well I get your point, even though you can connect a logging Dmm to the computer and do it just as you want. Anyhow I get you compleately. I have a Dmm on the way and will probably be trying this on a future.
