This does not add up

Just doing a Rough Count the number of "Viewing" is less than half the "Current Active Users" count
(Circled forums having 1000 viewing or more)

I can see that skewing the "members on line" count but not having any effect on the guests as they do not login.
The number of members online has continued to hover around the 470 mark and this spike in number of guests "seems" to be one of the longer sustained increases as compared to previous occurrences.
Is there anyone other than Avery that would be able to ascertain the basis for the calculation or algorithm behind the "active" displayed number?
And still climbing

It's been almost an hour and a half since the latest highest number of users online was registered. Presently at 3:23PM Central Time it has not come off of peak very much, even now.

Unless you physically log yourself out, you will remain logged in. Even if you completely close your browser

The views may be different than the active people.
The active is based over three days or somthing like that. The individual fourm views may be by the hour, or by the day.
