I sold a few of my lasers, one of them ending up on it's way to australia as of October 12th. As of today, October 26th, it has still not arrived at it's destination. The package was shipped via first class international which gave no delivery window and unknown to me at the time, no tracking info.
For anyone that has shipped anything to Australia from the states: How long did it take to arrive, and when should I consider the package lost and refund the buyer and cut my losses? Both of us are getting rather annoyed at the situation and it will probably end up being my only time shipping international.

I can't speak about shipping from US to Australia but can speak about shipping from Australia to the US. Have received a few packages lately and they all seem to get here in about a week. I did receive tracking numbers for each package, don't know if that makes a difference? But I'm guessing going into Australia is tougher than coming out. So all I can do is hope the best for your package. Best wishes.

I'm patient, not sure so much about the buyer of my sanwu challenger. Just wanted to get an idea of when to cut my losses and issue a refund.

From Canada to Australia can take anywhere from
1-3 weeks...

FYI... NEVER... NEVER ship anything out of your
own country without Tracking and Insurance...
The few extra dollars you may save on those two
options is not worth it... IMO.

It has only been 2 weeks and without tracking
could take longer than with tracking...

Definitely my mistake. I thought the customs number was a tracking number and dind't think anything of it until it was too late. International shipping is a pain it seems.

I ship all over the globe and it is simple
by using PayPal shipping service. Just
fill out the form... pay for it with PayPal
and print out your shipping label.. Been
doing that for for 10 years now.

Yep, tried that. At first is said "tracking not available" now it shows "Label Created, not yet in system".

As you probably know this is the first step "label created" it seems you do have a tracking number and that's a good thing. But it's been so long. I might start making inquirers at the post office. You have the number, see where it goes, it's time to push a little.

US Postal Service usually requires a 30 day wait until any claim of non-delivery can be made--not sure what they would say in this case due to no tracking or Ins paid. A Post Office could double check it or even better you could call the tracking phone number and speak with a representative/have an International specialist check on it---often they have more detail than the web site or PO and can see what is what is what and advise you accordingly.

I was under the impression that he did have a tracking number? Either way it does make since about a 30 waiting period. But I might an inquiry just the same.

He has the Customs Disclosure label number which can be used to track but is not a paid for service.

Hi mate
Just finished work and saw this, seems I’ve startled you when enquiring about tracking, Even when purchasing from you I new the risks with our customs here in Sydney, this is why I asked you to dismantle it in pieces and tape it up good, Not sure how long it’s been but even Jordan expects customers to wait 3-4 weeks even though it’s usually only 7-10 days to Sydney,

I don’t expect you to refund anything buddy even if it doesn’t show up, it was a gamble for me to own a sanwu laser, this is why I build my own custom and usually only by modules from international sellers, It seems my last email to you might have been a little intimidating, I apologise! And if-when I see something I’ll definitely convey it here!

Nah. I've been stressing over it to seeing as it took less time to get it from China than it is taking to get to you. I've only ever had one package take longer and in that case the post office it was in got hit by a tornado. Seeing how it is disassembled, I doubt customs would be an issue. Just hoping it gets to you soon. I'd hate to see such a nice unit end up lost in the postal abyss.
