Re: !!UPDATE!!Gb#2 jetlasers IS NOW ON>PM Gray w/request
Ok......all the way up in NH.....GOT IT!!!!!!!
Shipping box was perfect and the packaging was excellent. IMO, the JetLasers box isn't that bad in a "store it in the drawer" sort of way but its nothing you'd wanna transport it in. Kinda cigar boxish.
The laser itself is WICKED nice, and by wicked I mean New England slang wicked....not WL It feels very solid and when you hold it, you don't feel like yer gonna drop it. The closable aperture is very firm feeling. I haven't looked at the keys, dongle, etc...yet. Not the most exciting things, ya know? Hak did a "factory fresh" re-package job on everything after testing it and went a little further with a few things as a bonus. Nice touch, Hak!
UNFORTUNATELY, as stated by Hak, the Lighthounds are too tight to chance putting in there :banghead: I ordered a couple Sanyo 18650's from LarryDFW, HOWEVER, as listed in his link they measure 18.1mm and if you look at Hak's battery data in the above post you'll see that those probably wont work either.
I'm just gonna have to look at it til I figure something out. In my case, it's not a matter of peeling off the silver sticker on the batt, but overall it's not that far off from working. I can get both of mine halfway in before trouble starts. My Lighthounds measured 18.35mm and LarryDFW's Sanyos are 18.1mm so there may be hope. we're only talking 25 hundredths of a mm diff but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Also, and this may sound stupid, I may try rolling the batts between my countertop and a piece of wood or something in an attempt to reduce the OD enough to work. Ultimately, I may end up looking to buy yet another pair from Yobresal. Completely sux but unless my local Batteries Plus has some in stock,...which they wont, it looks like I'm gonna have to be happy with Yobresal's 1.2 445 for now...which will actually be very easy to do, it kicks ass
I'll keep you guys posted.
