200mW Blue for $30?? That seems too good to be true. How fast will the IR radiation on that thing burn out my pupils?

What kind of question is that ? Any laser will kill your eyes even 1mW.
That is not a blue laser but a voilet 405nm laser.
And it has no IR. Only laser with a IR diode pump like the green DPSS laser has IR.

And the price seems legit.

Don't be sad if it isn't 200mW. It's without a doubt 405nm and at that price, you'd be lucky to get >120mW. That host has been available for a while and many people have them. I've heard better things about the 650nm ones, however.

Didn't you read my post ? Why would they put on an IR filter for a laser with no IR ? :thinking:

And it has no IR.

I'd go with the 650nm rather than the 405nm if I were you. 405's seem to be hit or miss with higher powers from these kinds of places.

Back to the topic, I ordered from Kaidomain twice, was a smooth purchase.
I also had the laser you linked, don´t expect 200mW, mine was 150mW (ordered the same one from Dealextreme). It is able to do the burning stuff, not very visible beam.
I would suggest you to buy one from a member here, also, DON´T FORGET GOGGLES!!

If you want to go with 405nm, you may consider a combination like that:

I can make you a 445nm laser with an ir filter if you just have to have one though maybe it keeps the diode safe from IR from the sun.

You can't burn out your pupils, as your pupils are not physical objects.
