This or That - laser edition!

I love women...
But the woman would be a one time thing. This just shows how dorky I really am...I'd take the 473:D

5.6mm 2W single mode 635nM diode?
Or 5.6mm 200mW 589nM diode?

5,6mm 200mW 589 diode for sure.

Let's up the ante a little bit:

There are two buckets which contain a Handheld 5W Waterproof 473nm TEC cooled (which somehow works just right :D) each.

One bucket is filled with giraffe vomit. The other bucket is filled with rotten cereal.

You can take the laser from only one of those buckets. For the first one you have to use your naked arm to get the laser. For the second one you have to eat all the cereal inside to get to the laser.

This or that? ;)

I would get the laser from the cereal bucket, threw it away (as 5W with a tec needs too much power.. I like AA only) and eat all the cereal. It is still cereal, anyways!
naked arm in giraffe vomit? you just have to wash it after you get the laser LOL!

200mW greenie from o-like or rayfoss? ;)

Neither...

Would you rather have a good burning laser or a nonburner with a nice beam and dot?

...you serious?

@above - I could flip a coin, really.

Coherent Verdi or Coherent Sapphire?

200mW greenie from Rayfoss (hope it's a water-and-vomit proof one). :D

Coherent Sapphire. I'm partial to exotic wavelengths more than high-powers in standard (532nm) wavelengths.

Would you rather have a serious hernia or serious constipation? :toilet:

"Coherent Verdi or Coherent Sapphire?" wth is that? :)

@ash
"hernia or constipation"
This or That.. LASER edition! ;)

(disconsider as an answer)

Definitely the Credo.

@Leodahsan: I'm proposing things that's actually be a tough call. Try googling. :p

SP-127 HeNe or SP-168 Argon? Check the specs... :p

SP-168...no contest there man. 200mW HeNe or a 1mW 568nm ArKr?

SP-125 @ 632.8nm. Oddly enough that isn't even the strongest HeNe line, yet it's the most common.

Concerning the line, I'm pretty sure the 640.1nm line has high gain, but isn't as easy to get lasing action due to the energy states of Helium?

If the HeNe has a standard perfect beam then yes, absolutely that.

Here's one: 5mW 594.1nm HeNe or 1mW 593.5nm pen?

-Trevor

5mW 594.1nm HeNe. A tough one for ya, 15mW 604nm HeNe or a 15mW 612nm HeNe?

604nm hands down. Those are rarer if not nonexistent anyhow.

@above: 612nm. :p

Continuing with the lasers that require working on them to play with them:

Laserscope or tattoo-removal ruby laser?

I just saw the Quest for 604nm HeNe thread. I had no idea they were going extinct!
I would prefer the orange-er hue of the 612nm, however. Yellow isn't really my thing but the color is very neat (589 is the only yellow I've seen :( )

Ruby. Coherent Innova 300 or a Lexel 95?

Can't say I feel too bad for you :na:
