i noticed that tjere is not a thread dedicated to the pulsar laser from WL.

i think i will buy it after some reviews.... i would sell my old dilda.... because i prefer 2xaaa batteries.. and the possibility to butn without focus it.( i t choud have 2mm diameter.... still enough to "burn" near objects.........like green lasers.

i hope someone will write a review about it..........and if specs are TRUE 2mm diameter 1.5 mrad.

I have a WL Pulsar. I can say that it's put together well, and has a nice finish. "Heavy and solid" for a pen type pointer - probably the most "well built" red I've ever owned (besides the CNI DPSS 671.)

@andy............... i don't know how to build a laser.... i have no one that teach me how to do.. i have zero know how about electrical information... mA.....etc....

and pulsar seems "different" by others because have 2mm diameter instead 4/5 mm.....

realista, if you want a small diameter red, look at the 671nm group buy that Glenn was running (#10) and maybe get in on #11. Probably about 0.75-1mm beam diameter at aperture with those DPSS reds.

mmhhh.. but 671nm is less visible than 650 and 660 nm... :(..... i don't like it.
how ever.. how does it cost the 671 pointer... and what power?
sincerely............ i owuld fing a PEN red laser.. at 635....... the most visible red.... ecause i want ONE red laser in my laser collection..... and i prefer pen style laser. but 635 is more difficult tu buy .......and only spacialized companies like laserglow have it.... and it cost TOO MUCH..... compared to a good green( that i prefer....)

so.. at the "moment" the most preferible laser IMO is the 49$ pulsar.. with 200mw. good power.... 2mm diameter(more visible than 4/5mm diameter)....at 650nm ( i DON'T KNOW IF my dilda is 660nm or 650.....some people say dildas are 660... others 650)
if i could find a "pulsar" 200mw at 635 nm i would buy it..... but it does not exist

If I recall correctly, the Mitsubishi LOC diodes we use are rated at 655nm +/-5 as well as the LCC used in the Dilda.

Have you not considered buying a high power red pen from a member here?

I wonder if WL is actually shipping these from on hand stock, or is it the same old 2+ week crap again. If one were to purchase this, I wonder how long it would take from order time to delivery time....
I'd like to have it, especially since I almost paid $300 for the same laser a year ago, but then again wl is pretty much out of the equation for me...

We do NOT need a dedicated thread for every one of WL (or anyone elses) product. If you have a review or a specific question place that question in the appropriate board.

WL has their own forum. I'm sure that they would love a discussion building up hype for a specific product.

The Arctic thread is a disputed exception that will disappear as soon as something ships.
