Believe it or not, this is the first time I've had the pleasure of building inside an Eghemus host. When I saw his sales thread for this host a few months back, it was such an uniquely *different* design, that I was just compelled to jump on it.
It's the attention to detail that really blows me away here. For example, Eghemus included a built-in positive battery contact. That's amazing. I would have built around this requirement if it hadn't been there (a spring on a driver PCB, etc), but having the pre-fixed lead was an amazing little bonus I hadn't expected.
So when I had some free time last weekend, I took the most efficient Mitsubishi 635nm I had (600mW through a glass 3-element), and got to building.
I love that this host has the flexibility of using a 14650 or 14500 (with magnetic spacer). All said, I couldn't be more happy with this host. I love this gem
