SURPLUS CNI 405NM LASER POINTERS BRANDNEW 65mW - 70mw 50usd + SHIPPING

Sorry, I will be keeping the arrival of mine a secret. Mne should be the 1st to arrive though as I was the first to order (unless a UK member got one)

I know someone who ordered on the same day as you and lives in Europe + works as a postman during the summer holidays :shhh:

Edit: Oh I just saw, I won´t be the first :D

Dang, eveybody has to go and burst my bubble. Hopefully mine will be in the mail box when I get home from work. I cant wait to try and swap the diode out with a 12X. I wonder how much current the stock driver can put out.

Im the first!!!! LOL Just got it the dot is beautiful and does not spread at all this is the first CNI laser that I have bought and its beautiful sorry no time to upload pics got to run!!!!

Justin

CNI lists the divergence on these units as <.5mRad, and CNI is rarely wrong about specs ;)

I believe it, the optics on this are top notch in my book

And how would you go about taking this apart just wondering I dont want to destroy it in the process lol

Here are some pics :)

That doesn't mean they will out put a round dot. As far as I understand on a 445nm diode there are multiple "emitters" each with their own divergence. When the diode reaches "single mode" it is only lasing one of these "emitters", it will still have the same dot pattern.

In its high power state it emits a beam simular to this

-------------
-------------
-------------

In single mode it typically outputs a beam like this

"not emitting"
-------------
"not emitting"

I am how ever going to test the optics with a 445 diode and report on the results.

EDIT:

Here is a picture taken by daguin of his laser running at ~270ma, you can clearly see one emitter running and the other two just lasing...

Notice the beam profile on the middle beam, still hasn't changed.

what do you mean by CNI GLP-447 300mW? isnt that the pen host they only offer upto 5mW? also how are you managing to sell these 405s so cheap when on your site you have them listed as more expensive, also with pictures of them in apparently non-cni hosts?

What CNI has listed are the max powers they will sell to the US in that particular host.

I know many of you have received your lasers, I believe mine went out the first day but I still have yet to get it. Anyone else track there package during shipment, and was it similar to this?

I think everyone that has received one so far has NOT been in the US, I may be wrong...
