As a lot of you may know I absolutely love these hosts for some reason lol. Thankfully Moh got some, they can be found on his site @Budget Beams under the host and heatsink kit's section! Now, I've never bought it complete with an LED so with that said I was very shocked at how bright this thing is!!! It has 4 modes,... high, low, strobe, and SOS. I almost kept it as is! But nope... A blue beam is much better. I put a
20$ 1w 445nm casio diode in it till I decide what type of power I want! Here's some pictures

I forgot one last thing... These hosts have a locknut type driver pill for those of you that don't no. Here's what it looks like
keep note that they are a very odd size @18.92mm so putting a driver or contact board in will require some fudging!

Here's a video of what it would look like powered up with some blue photons
OH I don't have a driver for this diode in the host so I'm using the bench to power it up.. I know I know, ghetto haha. It does the job for now, like I said before, this is not the diode I plan on using in this host..

Sweet build noobphaser, been a long time since I've seen a "Sky Ray" host, I've always liked them too!
I've also bought led lights for use as laser hosts, and been tempted to leave them as lights ..... but not for too long!

Thanks Bowtie, these hosts just have a great look to them. Also great grounding and even better for thermal dispensing!

lol I have the same problem. I think i have batteries in each type of host i have an am using them as flashlights.

The XML T6 host is an awesome flashlight too, I use it every night when i go lock the chickens up. It just has an XML LED, but i guess the larger reflectors give it a much tighter beam that throws a lot farther.

I'm dying to get my hand on teh new cree LEDs. I'd love to get a 2000 lumen flashlight out of one of these xml hosts, or do one of Jayrob's maglite builds.
