Spyder III 473nm

You should have complained to them outright as soon as you got your Arctic (however difficult that might have been :p)... it might be a bit late now, but WL has "compensated" for some people's Arctic messes

I complained to them for a while back when my Arctic died, and 2 of their customer service people told me conflicting lies for a whole month until a 3rd guy stepped in and processed my refund. No compensation here. But they have gotten better, aside from underspec products.

well i think any company should deserve a chance for redemption, i think all their issues should be explained but also if many are showing better results lately it should also be mentioned,,, either way it will usually be about luck with these sites.

I highly recommend a CNI PGL 473nm laser. Mine is great, sold as 80mW and peaks at 120mW, divergence and beam size are both good as well.

I know all the great recommendations with CNI and Jetlasers, thanks guys. But I'm still taking precedence on a S3. As far as I know, the S3 473nm was marketed as a 60mW laser, all I've seen is 90mW and 112mW sooo we will see.

Sadly few people mention when they get a good product, but a lot of people will speak up if they get a bad one. With WL, the negative reviews from the past few years far outstrip any good reviews... I would believe that there are some good reviews of WL out there, their LPM readings seem to be accurate with their Arctic and Krypton, at least as far as I can tell scrounging around the forum reviews.

That's not true. A lot of people comment in B/S/T threads, companies, reviews and etc saying they got something they like. The bad reviews stand out because its usually meant as a warning for everyone else.

Also, its really not worth your time arguing for or against WL. Is not gonna change anybody's mindset or anything :p

There's only a handful of reviews of their 473nm laser because not many people were able to afford it.

I wasn't saying just the 473nm, I'm saying in general, there are only a handful of positive WL reviews, and they are almost never mentioned again. Even in those good reviews people are like "I bet it's overdriven" and stuff like that. But their negative reviews, they come up all the time, even after 4 years.

I'm not trying to change anyone's mindset, I'm perfectly open to different people's views. I just don't think it's fair to only point out the bad stuff of any company :p

And is there really only two S3 473nm's in ownership by LPF members!? That's all I've found so far...

That's all I've seen... Smeerworst owns one (NFS :() and Trevor sold his to another LPF member.

I think it is fair for me to say sorry for hwang21.

Yes, it is old new (exploding batt., etc), but I just want to see any members having problems with WL... Again.

In fact, most of us came here by Kipkay videos... Some by WL ads (my case)... We can't just haunt the company forever... BUT we still do it because some members build better and cheaper lasers than WL :D

Good luck on your search ok.

Apology accepted  I myself got into this hobby because of WL :D

I think the members here build better lasers at costs under ANY (legit) laser company, not just WL :p

And every company will have some bad lasers, everyone will make mistakes. I agree that WL has caused plenty of strife here, but a new problem now and then shouldn't be as problematic as the negative WL hype here. As far as I know, DL had (and still has) an issue with using plastic lenses on their Spartan... as long as WL continues to improve there shouldn't be all this negative rep about WL. At least, not several years from their last major mistakes.

Thanks! I'm hoping I can get my hands on one at some point or another in the near future :poke: :anyone:
