You might delete this thread in case the ATF...and USPS happen to monitor this forum. You could get some decent people in trouble. Both acts are felonies in the US.
 
I don't think its a felony to build a scale model for viewing purposes only :whistle:

And more seriously, how could gold plating and engraving a model possibly be a felony? Theres nothing to worry about. Google "how to make a cannon" and you'll get 100s of results, its not a big deal.
 
You can build one for yourself. You cant build one for someone else...or ship such item using the postal service.

It is a big deal when you have federal officers knocking at your door. If I recall correctly its happened to members here before. There is plenty to worry about.

The scale model was a gift and it was not sent through the US mail it went by private carrier.

You say this has happened here before was that before you were here and you recall it :whistle:

What member here built a cannon and had the feds knocking on his door, I think maybe you've had too much to drink :san:
