Highlights:
Single module: 152mm × 114mm × 30.5mm

Red Diode Array:
642nm, 10W, 22% energy conversion, 2mRad divergence (vertical), 36mRad divergence (horizontal)

Green Single Solid State:
532nm, 6W, 15% energy conversion, 2mRad divergence (vertical), 30mRad divergence (horizontal)

Blue Diode Array:
464nm, 5W, 15% energy conversion, 2mRad divergence (vertical), 40mRad divergence (horizontal)

From what i can tell, this module is intended to be a light source rather than scanning images onto a screen. I read elsewhere that sony is going to be sending out samples later this year. The lumen output seems to be geared toward the home theater market. So just the module may run under 1k.

The real issue is collimation, that and what to do with 21W of coherent white laser.

Sounds like they will definetly be worth ripping apart. :eg: Can't wait for these to come out!

But give companies like LG a year to cut that price in half. Then another 8 months for the lower end, chinese copycat brands to bring it down even more.

What to do with 21W = BURN EVERYTHING IN SIGHT:drool:

interesting... looks like they're using high power diode arrays instead of multiple diodes like Casio did

Shoot, I'd buy it just for the solid state green. The red and blue are icing on the cake. :D

This science translating to our hobby is going bonkers. I smell trouble ahead for the hobby.

Maybe for the companies, but I think we'll always find a way to build them ourselves...

YEP I can see it also, some unresponsible person will get there hands on one of these high powered diodes and make a laser out of it and hurt some one and that is all it will take new reg's/laws will make us criminals for doing what we do now !

Diode bars :(

Sounds like the green is still DPSS though. Would be worth it though as long as the price is reasonable.

10W 642nm red  too bad it would be extremely hard to focus it to a usable beam...
