Hi Guys,

So I decided I need to clean out my collection.

Up for sale is an OverSpec 400mW O-Like torch. It has peaked at right over 500mW but on this run only hit 483mW.

The laser is in excellent condition. I don't trust the original battery that came with it, so will include a protected Tenergy 18650.

This is without smoke - what it looks like in real life under very bright lighting. The small room where this was taken is lit by two 100W bulbs, so it's very bright in there.

Got an IR filter to pop in front of it to see output? And divergence measurements? (imho the most qualitative laser property!)

It is a great laser, and I would love to keep it, but I want to spend some money on another project.

I don't have an IR filter that fits well over the aperture so I tested this laser when I first got it another way... by sticking a pair of 532nm blocking goggles from radiant alpha in front of the thermopile sensor.

IIRC the peak IR also on fresh 18650 battery was ~80mW or about 16%. One of the modifications I was thinking of making, was to remove the waterproofing lens and replace it with an IR blocking lens instead. Simply removing the waterproofing lens should bump the power by another 50mW or so. Basically, no matter what, even with battery that's sagging, you'll end up having >350mW of green.

No reason to test for divergence since the laser is focusable imho. The beam diameter is on par or better than with most newwish pens that I've seen (when focused to infinity) although it's craploads brighter:eg: I was in AC over the summer and every third guy was shining pens around.... couldn't resist and shined mine into the sky for a few seconds. Reactions ranged from "holy $hit" to "wtf is that".

WOW Just noticed this Laser peaked at 483mW.:wave:

Looking at the graph its nice and stable. Awesome.

I can only imagine the beam on this thing.

The beam at night is fantastic. Indoors if you shine it at the ceiling, light up the whole room, and I don't mean like the smaller greens, I mean really lights it up.

Just have never look at the dot indoors at night... too damn bright... take my word for it
