SOLD OUT --Rnd 2 Host+Heatsink $20 Shipped

Re: Rnd 2 Host+Heatsink $20 Shipped

Well, I received my silver host from the first round today. Got to say, not too bad of a host! :gj: Things do rattle around a bit inside (the AAA battery case for example), but it's far from any kind of issue and can easily be fixed. The heatsink is very nice! Love the top polished look. And it is a perfect fit.

A AixiZ module fits in there without a hitch as well. Just for testing purposes I stuck a <5mW red in there (with a AixiZ module of course) and got it fully installed and ready to go in almost less than a minuet. No need for a spring on the bottom of the AixiZ, I just 'pinched' the negative wire underneath the metal contact point for the clicky button, put some tape of the bottom of the module (to prevent it from also touching the contact point) and screwed it together.

Probably the easiest possible host to do a install in IMO. At least with a full length AixiZ module. :yh:

Thanks again Matt for this awesome host + heatsink! I suggest anybody on the fence about buying this should immediately take up the offer. This kind of deal and quality build will not come around too often. So get one while you can!

Oh and here is a close-up of the host with the head unscrewed. That is the clicky contact point for either positive or negative (depending if your module is case - or +)

Oh and in case this wasn't fully confirmed yet, the clicky is most definitely reverse clicky. :yh:

Re: Rnd 2 Host+Heatsink $20 Shipped

Got my second host from round two today and the replacement heatsink that fits perfectly. I was hoping to get some more diodes today to put in this host and show off. But they did not show up. Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks Mohrenberg for the sweet deal.

Also Leukoplast

When I popped in an 18650 everything in the host is held much tighter and no rattling.:D

Re: Rnd 2 Host+Heatsink $20 Shipped

Yeah the rattling is the plastic spacer which is being held in place by the clicky switch's tabs folded over it.

Once everything is installed it kinda smashes against each other and locks into place.

Anyways, if anyone runs into any problems with your order, just shoot me a PM. I've got 5 to ship out, then i've got 1 host left that i want to try something with :)

Sweet!! I'm always scared international packages won't make it to their destinations lol

Still not got mine yet :( and I live closer than Greece :) *taps foot on the floor while wating*

Mine came today, very nice! This is a great host for the money; seems well made with a nice bulky heatsink. I think one will be a LOC, not sure about the other one yet.

Great job and thanks again!

Don't worry. I always get my international packages :) Never had a problem before

Also, once again, great job on the heatsink dude. I'm in love with its size

@ cd520, what driver is the one you are using in your build?

I'm sure it will arrive, I've not recieved something else I've ordered from the states on E-bay in the same day either so I'm not worried yet :)

My H/S was just a bit undersized like DTR's was, but I came up with a small shim. Overall Mohrenberg did an Awesome job with this host, and I am extremely pleased with the results.
