I made the sinks, but only for the hosts that I had. They were 2 piece, but I dont have
any more empty bodies to measure out heatsinks for..

Could someone please tell me the diameter of this laser pointer? I'm willing to buy one!

The laser is 100mm long (4 inch) and 25mm dia (just under 1 inch).
The last batch I made are all 1.3W on a fresh charge, settling to 1.2W
or just above.

I have 2 left that I just put the finishing touches on. These are 1.3W and
3 mode as well. Both come in the case as pictured with a single battery, charger
and goggles.

I have had a few inquiries and it will be first come first serve. They are an upgraded
version over the ones in the OP.

The price on these are 299. CDN shipped.

I was Lucky enough to actually use one of these solid builds over the weekend and its like a Rock.

The Heatsink Design is Down right Genius. You can Feel that it spreads the heat and Keeps the diode cool through out the whole Body.

Nothing but the Best work WB.:bowdown:

Yup, it is built super solid, and there is basically no duty cycle on low power.

The size also makes it perfect to have in a pocket

You always think of the coolest workable designs. The Inner body heatsink Just amazed me alot.

Ive never seen that before in a Build.

Those 18350 are the way to go if you can make them fit. They have more juice in them so you get nice long run time.:wave:

The thing with these hosts is all that extra space.. The heatsink served a double
purpose in that the original battery compartment was designed to hold 3x AAA in
those plastic holders. To accommodate an 18350 the gap had to be filled and what
better way to do that than with additional heatsinking

I figured a tapered fit to the LD's heatsink would give a nice connection for thermal
transfer and spread the heat more evenly.. The driver is also tied into the internal
barrel to bleed off the little heat that it produces...

The 18350's are a good battery IMO.. Much better than a 16340, even though
there is not much difference in size. I know I will not be using 16340's in any
other build from here on out.. These were perfect batteries for this build and
for the small custom hosts im working on :san:

Summer was very hectic for me and checked in on my PM's only once a week
if I was lucky.
