I have a second host and build the same BIG BOY. The laser is similar as in this build except for the thicker focus ring.
The laser output is also very similar. I am confident that this laser will peak at 3 Watt but with my LPM and filters in front I only can measure the output as 2.8+Watt after 50 seconds.
The diode is the 9mm 445nm diode and I use the same high power lens that was with the diode. The driver is a triple Ben Boost driver set at a total of 2.2A.
The laser is powered by 3x 18650 li-ion batteries in PARALLEL. That means you can use two cells at the time with shorter runtime. Even one cell operation is possible if you have a quality battery. :yh:
I include with the laser three 18650 batteries, charger EU/US and a safety goggle. The safety goggle is a MUST when using this laser !!
I am asking $400 for the laser. This was the old price.

The filters block 29% of the beam so that only 71% hits the LPM !
The number on the LPM must be multiplied by 1.41 for the actual power.
