So LPF, What do you drive?

roots style blowers can also have release values as well but there not blow off value's there called Boost bypass valves! both my old Eaton Gen III and Gen V have them but there not really setup to release boost over a certain PSI like in chipdouglas or my one friends setup.

Blow off valve on a supercharger? Never heard of that before. How is it supposed to work? Im no car junkie but AFAIK, superchargers spin with a constant ration with the engine speed so closing the throttle would also slow down the supercharger and cutting off the pressure.

Please explain how the supercharger blow off works.

EDIT: Oh neverminds. I just read that you had a centrigual supercharger.

Mine wasn't a screw type or roots type. It was centrifugal. Works on almost same principal as a turbo, if you didn't see it was belt driven you'd think it was a turb. It sits in front of engine and has all same plumbing as a turbo. You really don't need a blow off valve on a supercharger but I was running so much boost I said why not.

Yeah like my friends f1a pro charger!

Watched a couple of youtube vids of centri superchargers with BOVs but nothing beats the sound of a real turbo BOV, though I like the sound of a supercharger's whine over a turbo spooling up.

Just saying.

Mine was a reverse rotation set up, it had zero whine. My mustang was putting down 570hp and almost 650ftlbs torque. One time a silicone pipe connector came loose and all my super charger air was blowing out, now that was a crazy sound. I thought my intake manifold blew lol!!!

I said I would so here it is.

Same car as in the picture, same colour and rims. I only have the rear bumper and side skirts in matching colour of the car. It is an DSG all leather version. I have this for 1.5 year now and i am really liking it. Got a good deal via my dad whom actually owns a small second hand car shop. Before this i had a BMW 525D from 2003. Anyhow i never keep a car that long as the GTI. Most of the time looking to sell it for a profit. It's kind in the blood :p

Greetings,,
